These are very difficult times we are living in.

Said NOONE!

I read that passage from the book I'm reading and and to me it's true.

I use to spend ages counting my calories throughout the day and making sure I didn't go over an amount I set myself. Then at the end of the day I would 're add it to make sure it was right. I always felt so crap when I had gone over. Even if I was by 10.

But today now, I don't count calories or even look at them. And you know what?

I feel better not knowing them!

Yes that's right. It wasn't easy. Really wasn't. But I knew the path I was going on, wasn't good for me. I didn't want that life. I wanted to be happy. I may not be truly happy with my body atm but I am in progress with it. I've learned what makes my body happy and what are the right things to eat.

I got here by slowly not counting calories. I would right down still what I was eating but no number. Even if I looked at it I didn't write it down. Then as time went on I I stopped looking at the number. Then I slowly stopped recording everything I ate so I didn't obsess over it.

I do still periodically right my meals down but now my mind is in a totally different headspace. I write it down to make sure I am having a variety every day and week so I don't just eat the same thing over and over each day.

I don't miss counting calories. I don't miss the obsessing over the numbers adding up throughout the day. I enjoy my day and my food. Just the way life should be.

Mental Health Tuesday

I forget alot of the time to look after my mental health. I put so much on myself that I don't stop to see how I am doing. Not untill I feel myself doing downhill again.
Sound similar?

Well this year I'm determined to look after my mental health alot more.

So some things I found helpful so far:
📚 Reading books. Atm I am reading the Goddess revolution. Loving it so far!
💤 I'm trying to goto bed and wake up at the same time so I get a better sleeping pattern
🥙Becuase I can never be bothered after work to cook, I made a big batch of different meals, so I still eat health a d good for portion sizes
🧘‍♀️ I'm taking time out, only 10 minutes to meditate and concentrate on my mind and breathing

Comment below any tips you are trying? I'd love to know

Time does go fast by when you don't think about it, right?⠀⠀
1.5 years ago, i started a new journey to help me with my fitness. Since joining this amazing virtual fit club community and becomming an online health and fitness influencer, while being able to help others has gave me so much accountability to never give up, even when s*** gets hard 👐⠀⠀
Helping others mean I have to focus on myself. I am getting better with my nutrition and these workouts are amazing, so much to choose from. When I struggle I reach out to my fit club family and mentor who helps me through it.⠀⠀
Having people you never met hold you to your goals can be scary, but we become a family, helping each other, and become friends from different areas in UK, Canada, USA and France.⠀

To make my business successful I have to put in hard work every day after or before my other job. Alot of planning and personal development and continuous learning is involved every day. But every day is worth it Becuase I get to learn and grow. Become a better version of myself.⠀
My goal is to eventually go part time with my job in the manufacturing and focus mainly on being an online influencer so I get to spend more time with my dog. But this won't come without dedication and hard work. This year will be my year.⠀

I think it is a GREAT TIME to get into GREAT SHAPE.

Food itself is usually not the problem at all - it's just the symptom

I saw this quote while I'm currently reading and it made me think.
All the times I binged, all had an emotion behind it. Most of us when we binge have an emotion behind it.
But you can get through it. Even if you binge you dont have to punish yourself by purging or working out or however you do it.

I'm working on reconnecting with my body, and my emotions. Its not easy but I know the way of life I've been living isn't good for me. This book in reading is shinning light and making me question alot of things.

So it's the new year! 💥🎉🎊

How many of you made ?

I didn't! This year I made Goals. Actionable goals which I can actually achieve this year.

is my motto this year. Becuase how many of us make them every 1st January and never stick with them?? 🙋‍♀️


Why do we keep doing this to ourselves? Let's change that this year. Becuase I don't get why we only do it on the 1st January. When on each of our birthdays it's our own new year of life.

Let's make goals throughout the year, not just at the beginning, Becuase as life goes on our goals change. That way we won't be disheartened when we don't achieve those way too high resolutions we always make.

Raise your hand if you struggled with a lack of control this year 🙋‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️.  I bet some of you have five hands up.  I have seven in the air.  I've felt it in lots of ways from work to no vacation to not being able to meet new friends.

But you know what...my health is a place where I can have control.  And NOW is a great time to get in great shape and take control of your health.

Holidays and diets, I use to be in a bad circle with them.

But now I'm not. I changed my mindset to think all of the time to eat healthy AND still have all the lovely treats during holiday time. Sweets at Halloween, mince pies, cookies etc at Christmas. I don't restrict myself anymore. I eat what I want and not worry about it. But I do make sure it is in moderation.

Holiday time is about enjoying yourself, not worrying about a "diet". And you can enjoy yourself but still have a healthy lifestyle.

Food doesn't have to be a 'chore'. Make simple healthy meals, batch cook them on weekends for the week, substitute ingredients for healthier alternatives.

Make living a healthier lifestyle a choice and defiantly don't make it a diet. Diets get you no where. Trust me I know.
