A little reminder for the overthinkers. If your mind feels busy, loud, or constantly “on” you are not alone.

Overthinking often comes from a place of trying to stay safe, make sense of things, or get it right, but it can leave you feeling stuck, drained, and overwhelmed.

So here is your gentle reminder today:
You don’t have to believe every thought you have.
You are not your thoughts.
It’s okay to pause, breathe, and come back to the present moment.

Sometimes it is not about stopping the thoughts, it is about softening your relationship with them.

A walk.
A few deep breaths.
Writing it out.
Talking to someone who understands.

Small things, but they can make a big difference.

Be kind to your mind today.

If this resonates with you and you feel ready to explore it a little deeper, please drop me a message.

Do you ever feel like your mind just won’t switch off?

Overthinking can feel exhausting, like your brain is constantly searching for problems, replaying conversations, or expecting the worst.

But often, what’s happening isn’t truth, It is thinking patterns we’ve learned over time. Things like:
• assuming the worst
• blaming yourself
• focusing only on what went wrong
• or feeling like your thoughts must be facts

These are called thinking traps and once you start to notice them, you can begin to gently challenge them.

You don’t have to believe every thought you have.

You can pause.
You can question it.
You can choose a more balanced way of seeing things.

With practice, things can start to feel a little lighter.

You are not “too much” for overthinking. You are human and your mind is trying to protect you.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone and support is there if you need it.

Message me to discuss how I can support you.

Anxiety can feel overwhelming. Racing thoughts. Tight chest. Constant worry. A sense that something bad might happen even when you can’t explain why.

But anxiety isn’t your enemy.

It’s your nervous system trying to protect you.
Trying to keep you safe.
Trying to prepare you even when there’s no immediate danger.

Often, anxiety is shaped by past experiences. Moments where you didn’t feel safe, in control, or supported. So your mind learnt to stay alert.
To scan for risk. To expect the worst, just in case.

Whilst that once served a purpose it can become exhausting to carry every day.

In counselling, we gently begin to understand your anxiety, not fight it, not silence it but listen to it.

We can explore:
What it’s trying to protect you from
Where it may have come from and how to help your body feel safe again

Healing isn’t about “getting rid” of anxiety. It’s about learning that you are safe now and knowing you don’t have to hold it all on your own.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone.
You’re allowed support.

A new month, a new season, and for my business, a new chapter begins.

Moving forward, my focus will be primarily on counselling. I will be offering sessions online, by telephone, and as a mobile service, creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and accessible to you.

Alongside this, I will continue to offer mobile holistic therapies, gently supporting your overall wellbeing as part of a more integrated approach.

At the heart of my work, nothing changes, you can still expect the same warm, compassionate, and person-centred space. This shift simply allows for a clearer focus on mental health, healing, and personal growth.

If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, this is your gentle reminder that you don’t have to do it alone, I’m here when you’re ready.

S*xual abuse can leave deep, lasting impacts not just in memories, but in how you feel about yourself, your body, your safety, and your relationships. Often, those effects don’t just disappear with time.

Counselling offers a space where you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

A space where you can:
• Talk at your own pace, without pressure
• Begin to make sense of what happened
• Gently process emotions that may feel overwhelming
• Rebuild a sense of safety and trust
• Reconnect with yourself — your voice, your boundaries, your worth

There is no “right way” to heal.
No timeline you have to follow.
And nothing you have to share before you’re ready.

What happened to you matters. How it affected you matters, you deserve support that feels safe, respectful, and led by you.

If you’ve been thinking about seeking help this is your gentle reminder you don’t have to do this alone.

If you’d like to explore counselling, I offer a warm, confidential space online, by telephone, or in person.

Have you ever wondered why we eat chocolate eggs at Easter when it’s actually a religious holiday?

Easter is about new life, hope, and renewal, so the egg actually makes perfect sense.

Long before chocolate came along, eggs were a symbol of new beginnings, life emerging from something small and ordinary.

They were also eaten to mark the end of Lent, when foods like eggs and dairy were traditionally given up. So when Easter arrived eggs were back on the menu and part of the celebration.

Then somewhere along the way, we (very wisely 😄) upgraded to chocolate.

And honestly… no complaints here.

So whether Easter means faith, family, fresh starts, or just a good excuse for chocolate there is something quite lovely about the meaning behind it all.

New life.
New beginnings.
A little bit of hope.

And maybe a few too many eggs 🐣

Happy Easter everyone.

Some days aren’t about big breakthroughs, they’re about getting through, gently.

Progress doesn’t have to be loud or visible to matter.
The small steps, the quiet effort, the moments no one else sees, they all count.

Be kind to yourself today.
You’re doing more than you realise.

If you need support, you don’t have to do it alone. You can message or call to see how I may be able to support you.

The way we speak to ourselves matters more than we often realise.

Our inner dialogue quietly shapes how we see the world, how we respond to challenges, and how we feel about ourselves. When that inner voice becomes harsh or critical, it can slowly chip away at confidence, self-worth, and emotional wellbeing.

Positive affirmations are a simple but powerful way to gently interrupt that cycle.

They are not about pretending everything is perfect or forcing yourself to believe something that feels impossible. Instead, affirmations help you practise speaking to yourself with compassion, encouragement, and possibility.

Over time, repeating kind and supportive words can begin to shift the tone of your inner voice. The brain is remarkably responsive to repetition, and affirmations can help create new pathways that support confidence, resilience, and self-belief.

Your affirmation might be something like:
• I am doing the best I can today.
• I am worthy of kindness and respect.
• I am allowed to take up space.
• I am stronger than the challenges I face.

The most powerful affirmations are the ones that feel meaningful to you.

Sometimes, simply pausing for a moment and speaking to yourself with kindness can change the direction of your entire day.

Tell me your favourite affirmation in the comments below.
