A Classic Yorkshire Dales Walk Easy Paced 6mls
Starts 09:30 from outside the YDNP Visitor Center.
One of a Series of Easy Paced Scenic, Yorkshire Dales Mountain & Wellness Walks for 2026
A nice easy paced walk & a drink in the pub afterwards. It’s a lovely walk of around 6mls, 300m accumulated ascent.
Bring warm clothes, a hot drink, snack & a sit mat for your picnic, somewhere good!
We are NOT ascending Gordale Scar! 😊
IF BOOKING THIS WALK PLEASE TURN UP!
Dress for the weather, boots with a good grip, rough uneven terrain. Bring waterproofs, spare warm clothes, hat/gloves, (mittens) Water, Hot Drink, Food, packed in a Rucksack.
Dogs: Allowed, 1pp, max 3 to the group, must be friendly, not yappy, well behaved & remain under control at all times.
Car Park is a pay & display, but some free parking on road if you are early.

9mls 450m accumulated ascent

A loop around the fells above Sawley taking in Moor and Woodland. It’s a New Walk for us so a bit of a Recce, but hoping for or some excellent views.
**Dress for the weather**. Bring waterproofs, hat/gloves, spare fleece, hot drink, water, some lunch.

Not sure about access for dogs so for this walk **NO DOGS**

DALLAM DEER PARK, BEETHAM & THE FAIRY STEPS SATURDAY SAUNTER
An Easy Paced Walk of Around 6.4mls 200m ascent
A lovely ‘recce’ walk (I haven’t visited for years) heading South from Milthorpe, we’ll visit Beetham Corn Mill & St Michael’s Church before heading via The Fairy Steps to Hazelslack Tower. Heading North to the Kent Estuary then following the River Bela back into Milnthorpe.
A walk mostly through dale & parkland with lots of interest, natural & man made. Follow the link below if you want to join us:
