Today we remember Marcos, the founder of Yurt in the City.

Marcos created more than a space, he created a home for connection, healing, learning and belonging in the heart of Cardiff. At a time when many people were searching for something slower, more human and more rooted, he built a place where community could gather, breathe and remember what really matters.

Yurt in the City wasn’t just about workshops or events. It was about presence. About holding space. About welcoming people exactly as they were and trusting that something meaningful would unfold when we came together with intention.

Today would have markes Marcos's birthday, but what he built continues to live through the people who gather, the conversations that happen, the healing that takes place and the community that still returns year after year. His vision didn’t end, it embedded itself.

We remember him today with gratitude, respect and deep appreciation for the legacy he left behind. We give thanks and send our love to Abi & Rowan.

Some spaces carry the spirit of their founder. This is one of them.

As we step into a brand new cycle, we’re being gently called back to what truly matters…
connection, belonging & shared humanity.

This January, in the depth of winter & the quiet threshold between what has been & what is becoming, we gather in circle to begin the year as we mean to go on….rooted in presence, truth & community.

Our community cacao ceremony on 18th January is an invitation to soften, to arrive just as you are & to remember that you don’t have to walk this path alone….In a world that often pulls us apart, this is a space to come together, heart to heart, to share intentions, prayers & desires for the chapter ahead.

This gathering also falls on my darling beloved Alastair’s birthday weekend🥳 making it an especially celebratory ceremony, infused with gratitude, love & the joy of shared life. ❤️‍🔥

As the cold snap wraps the land, we’ll allow the medicine of Mama Cacao to do what she does best….to warm us from the inside out, to open the heart gently & to hold us in her nurturing, steady presence.

I know it’s a trend right now, but this one means so much to me. 🩷⁣
11 years ago, my world completely fell apart. Something truly horrific happened in my family, and it sent my already fragile mental health into a full collapse.⁣
That’s when I was referred to the amazing .davies, a psychologist who introduced me to inner child work as part of EMDR therapy.⁣
EMDR helps the brain reprocess trauma by allowing us—as the adults we are now—to go back and meet the emotional needs of our younger selves. It’s deep work… but profoundly healing.⁣
So yes, it’s a trend—but one I’m absolutely here for. Seeing AI bring that inner child vision to life? 🥹 It hit me in a way I didn’t expect.⁣
Learn to hold, forgive, love, and nurture your inner child. They never really leave us. 💗⁣

We were effected by the fires at Goldcliff Common yesterday. The smoke and smell was horrendous all day, I didn’t panic until the neighbours knocked to say it was time to get out!Happy to say we’re all fine thanks to the emergency services and people helping out! Great community in .

Sorry guys, absolutely everything stinks of smoke today! I’ll be washing linens for weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️
