We have no access to any computers or telephones at present. We are currently trying to sort this with our It team and hope to be up and running soon. It means that we are unable to book any appointments at the moment. If you already have an appointment we can see you, however, we cannot print fit notes or prescriptions.

Today we celebrate and say goodbye to the lovely Dr Kerry Davies. Dr Davies joined us 2 1/2 years ago after working in Pontypool Surgery for over 30 years with 21 of those years as senior partner. He joined us as a salaried GP but the wealth of knowledge he brought with him was unmatched. He did try to retire in September last year but after the tragic death of Dr Yule he offered to stay on and help us through a very difficult time and we will always be so grateful for his help and support during that time. We wish Dr Davies all the best for his well earned retirement. I know personally how much he will be missed by staff at the practice but also the patients that he has built a relationships with over the last two years. Best of luck Kerry don't be a stranger xxz

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You would have seen in the media that there is a Meningitis B outbreak in Kent. We know that this is going to cause concern for parents and we completely understand this, however, at present we are not aware of any Men B catch up programme being arranged and the vaccine MenACWY will not protect against this particular strain.

Men B vaccine given to babies at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and booster at 1 year since this started in 2015.

MenACWY given to children in year 9 aged 13 - 14 years, can be given to patients up to 25 years old if they missed it in school.

We will of course keep you updated should we receive any information from Public Health Wales.
