Dying Matters Awareness Week is about something simple, yet often avoided - conversation.

Talking about death and dying won’t make it happen, but it can bring comfort, clarity, and reassurance to those we care about most.

Whether it’s sharing your wishes, discussing plans, or simply opening up, these conversations can make all the difference when the time comes.

At Liam Stafford Funeral Directors, we believe in supporting families not just when a loss occurs, but in helping people feel more prepared, informed, and understood.

Because talking about it today… can help tomorrow.

Last week we had the honour of supporting a family in saying goodbye to a truly special gentleman.

He took immense pride in his garden. A place where he spent countless hours nurturing, growing, and finding peace. It was only fitting that this love became part of his final tribute.

Our talented in-house floristry team incorporated his own spade into the tribute, filling it with beautiful, fresh flowers. Our florist created a completely bespoke arrangement, transforming something so familiar to him into a heartfelt and meaningful farewell.

Moments like these remind us how meaningful personal touches can be. A life remembered not just in words, but in the things that brought joy every single day.
