To support our healthcare services across Hywel Dda, the Same Day Urgent Care (SDUC) service at Cardigan Integrated Care Centre (SA43 1JX) will be open on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January between 9am and 6.30pm.

The service brings together urgent primary care, minor injuries and some same-day urgent care in one place, led by experienced advanced urgent care practitioners.

Please phone 01239 807019 before attending to speak to a triage nurse who can then arrange an appointment time to attend.
Our services are currently under pressure due to an increase in demand. By selecting the right service for your illness or injury, you're not only looking after your health but using your NHS services responsibly. This then helps us to treat and care for you appropriately.

⚠️ Weather Warning – Storm Goretti ⚠️
Severe weather and challenging driving conditions are expected over the next few hours (Thursday 8 January) and tomorrow (Friday 9 January) as Storm Goretti hits Ceredigion.

Warnings in place:
Yellow warning for wind, rain, and snow.
Amber warning for snow in the east of the county.

Our crews will be out treating/gritting the roads on our Precautionary Gritting Network overnight as needed, but dangerous travel conditions and service disruptions are expected.

⚠️Storm Goretti update ⚠️

Into the evening and overnight, we anticipate the weather front to become more intense including high winds and rain from around 4pm.

There is also potential for sleet or snow from this evening onwards, particularly impacting high ground.

We encourage those living in the rural north and northeast of the county to prepare for the weather including minimising travel unless essential.

The heavy rainfall across the county will likely cause widespread surface water flooding along with some localised flooding leading to road closures in usual hotspots.

⚠️ There are two flood warnings in place at Cleddau at Haverfordwest (00:15), and Prendergast Mill (00:20).

Highways gritting schedule is planned from this afternoon and throughout this evening for key routes, but timing will be reviewed depending on the weather forecast. Crew are on standby to work overnight as necessary.

We are continually monitoring and reviewing the forecast and further updates will be provided.

⚠️ Services affected:
Due to the high winds forecast, residents are asked not to put recycling /residual/AHP(purple bag) waste out tonight (Thursday 8th January).

Please present bags by 6:30am on Friday 9 January for those with scheduled collections. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your support and cooperation.
