This week Julia has been diving into the vibrational frequency of fabric and how it might affect what we wear in the sauna.

Vibrational frequency refers to the electromagnetic waves that are emitted by everything, including fabric.

A healthy human vibrates at around 62-68 MHz so the clothes that we wear and the frequency they emit could either be having a positive or negative effect.

Natural fabrics such as linen and wool have a vibrational frequency of 5000 Hz, whereas synthetic fabrics such as nylon and acrylic are 0Hz.

In the sauna, the majority of us wear swimwear which tends to be synthetic, and so might be inhibiting our detoxification.

Luckily, there are alternatives out there, with 100% wool sauna hats, merino wool and linen sauna wear becoming more available.

I am delighted to tell you about a new sauna ritual I will be guiding at the stunning in Mawgan Porth, on Monday 1 December.

This beautiful Roundhouse Sauna surrounded by Nature will be the perfect place to bring people together in a two hour sauna ritual.

For those not sure what a sauna ritual is, I will guide you through rounds in and out of the sauna, marking the contrast between the hot and the cold. 🔥💦

There will be nourishing scrubs made from sugar and salt, mixed with herbs and plants foraged on the Cornish coastline. 🌱

Sauna whisks, bundles of tree leaves and twigs, will bring nutrients to our skin and help us to connect with the Löyly, the steam. 🌿

The ritual will run from 19:30-21:30, with the additional use of the hot tubs until 22:00.

A unique opportunity to come together with friends and community in a bathing ritual, and the perfect way to start the festive season.

| N A T U R E I M M E R S I O N |

What is it to be immersed in nature? To bring stillness and presence to our busy minds and lives. To notice the beauty and abundance all around. The gold of the leaves falling from the trees, the tree branches bowing under the weight of their fruits.

Next Saturday we will be in the gardens and sauna with a 4 hour Nature Immersion.

We begin our journey with a tea ritual guided by the wonderful .trees Amongst the trees we will sit and connect, meditating in our natural surroundings and tasting some delicious tree teas.

We then submerge ourselves in a sauna ritual, welcoming nature to join us. Forest bathing in the sauna with tree leaves and foraged plant body scrubs.

We are so excited for our first TREES LEAVES SAUNA in the beautiful grounds of
A collaboration of wonderful practitioners with a passion and love for Nature and all that it offers.

🌳 Lou .trees will be guiding a Tea Ritual, and teaching us the art and benefits of a tea practice before sauna. From Trees is on a mission to “restore our relationship with trees through the ritual of drinking tea”

🔥 Nick T will be guiding a sauna ritual, helping us to ground down and immerse ourselves deeper into the natural world. Nick’s experience as a gardener & tree surgeon developed his knowledge of the plants and trees, and helps to create the essence of his rituals.

🥘 Lia Stephenson will be cooking up a warming feast in for us to enjoy in the conservatory of Lia’s passion and love of food is contagious, combining healthy ingredients with delectable herbs and spices, with mouthwatering results!

🔔 Whilst we feast, of will be creating a soundscape for us, inspired by nature and the sauna. Dan is a yoga & meditation teacher, and soundscape artist among many things! His recent work took him to Glastonbury with a sound journey and conscious dance.

We warmly invite you to join us for an immersive experience of nature through sauna, tea, feast and sound.

On Saturday 8 November, we will be hosting a 4 hour journey of reconnection to nature, to ourselves and to the community we create.

🍵 TEA RITUAL
We begin our journey around the fire pit and surrounded by the beautiful trees with a tea practice guided by Lou .trees
She will guide us through tea as practice before sauna, looking at how to brew her delicious tree teas, and sampling them. A meditative & grounding approach that will connect us in to the trees around us and prepare us for the ritual.

🔥 SAUNA RITUAL
We will then immerse ourselves in a 1.5 hour sauna ritual with deepening that connection with the trees through the leaves of the whisks. A deeply immersive bathing ritual to wash away the old and reconnect with ourselves.

🥙 When finished in the sauna, we will rug up and relax in the beautiful conservatory of Scorrier whilst Lia Stephenson serves up a warming and delicious meal cooked up in A chance to relax and ground.

🔉 And if that wasn’t enough, will be creating a soundscape inspired by the sauna to soothe our senses whilst we eat.
