I am so excited to share some wonderful news with you all today. Please join me in giving a very warm welcome to the newest member of the Strawberry Fields Therapy team, Dr. Elisa Aguirre! 🎉

Elisa and I have actually been working together in other services since 2021, and I have always admired her profound expertise and genuine compassion. Bringing her into the Strawberry Fields family feels like the perfect natural next step for our clinic.

Like me, Elisa is originally from Spain, but we have both spent years developing our professional careers here in the UK. Because of our shared cultural background, we have a very similar approach to therapy: we are direct, honest, and warm. We believe therapy should be a safe space, but also one where we speak truthfully to help you create real, lasting change.

Elisa is a HCPC-registered Health Psychologist and BABCP-registered Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. She brings a wealth of experience from both the NHS and private practice, specialising in:
✨ EMDR and trauma recovery
✨ Women’s mental health (particularly the psychological impact of perimenopause and menopause)
✨ Anxiety, burnout, and emotional regulation
✨ Supporting neurodivergent individuals (ADHD)

She is deeply passionate about helping people navigate the psychological challenges that impact both their mental and physical health. Whether you are dealing with past trauma, navigating a difficult life transition, or just feeling completely overwhelmed, Elisa has the clinical expertise and the warmth to help you get unstuck.

Not every day will feel light and easy — and that's okay.
Difficult days don’t define you. They don’t erase your progress.
They are simply part of being human.

Breathe deeply.
Be gentle with yourself.
Rest if you need.

These beliefs are not truths. They are echoes of painful experiences, not reflections of your true self.

Not just the parts that shine — but also the parts you’ve been taught to hide.

Yes, you are kind, loving, creative, and strong.
But you are also human. Messy. In progress. Sometimes reactive. Sometimes unsure.

🌓 We all carry light and shadow.
Healing doesn’t mean erasing the shadow — it means understanding it.
It means saying: “Even this part of me deserves compassion.”

You don’t need to be perfect to be worthy.
You don’t need to be happy all the time to be lovable.

We live in a world that glorifies hustle. Constant movement. Always doing. Always achieving.

But your nervous system wasn’t built for non-stop.

✨ Sometimes the most radical thing you can do is… slow down.

🌱 Take a long breath.
🌱 Sip your coffee slowly.
🌱 Go for a walk without your phone.
🌱 Say no without guilt.
🌱 Let stillness be enough.
