Hi Folks , just an update on our health service. Where has our health service went , i got a bad burn up my arm just over a week ago , so i had to have the dressing changed last Monday in my own doctors, but was informed that now you only go there once then your handed over to the community nursing team which was yesterday, when i went to get my dressing changed the nurse asked me had i got my own dressings of course the answer was no , so the nurse put two dressings on that where not appropriate for my injury, so she ordered dressings for me i dont know if ive got them are not , so i received a call today from the nurse in john michel place for an appointment on Monday to have it dressed again i asked if they had dressings i was informed no , so if there are no dressings for me for Monday i will have no option to buy them myself, never have i went to a nurse and was asked if i had my own dressings what’s happening with our health service, daisy hill where fantastic but after that it is a shambles its hard to believe how bad the service has got on this occasion ive seen it myself, so folks the morale of the story is if you have to go to the nurse a second time are 3.4 are 5 times bring your own dressings shocking

💛 It’s Been One of Those Weeks 💛

At The Well, this week has been filled with activity. Honestly, every week keeps us on our toes in this line of work. Each week is distinct. Some are intense, others smooth, and a few catch us by surprise. Occasionally, a week arrives that feels particularly noteworthy. This is one of those weeks. Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing four stories — featuring remarkable places, individuals, and organizations that have supported us in truly meaningful ways. Here’s the first: Dunaman Food Store. Suzanne and her team went beyond merely holding a fundraiser; they organized raffles with genuine intent. They used their venue to support a cause that’s not always easy to discuss. It wasn’t extravagant or overwhelming. It was simple. Local. Authentic. £500 — we are truly impressed. Customers popping in for their everyday needs took a moment to buy a raffle ticket. Questions were asked. Conversations blossomed naturally.
This is how awareness grows — unforced, simple & genuine. Every pound raised will become direct assistance for someone in our community who truly needs it. This isn’t just a saying; it’s the truth. Suzanne and everyone Food Store — thank you. For supporting this endeavor. For standing by us. For being part of something that quietly yet significantly makes a difference. Look forward to three more special stories this week. 💛
