Today marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week. Tonight we are remembering all of those babies who lit up our lives for such a short time 🕯️ 💫

Tonight at 7pm, we will lead a virtual Wave of Light on this post. If you’d like to join us in remembering, please light a candle, let it burn for at least 1 hour and post your picture in the comments 🩵🩷

Today marks the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Let us speak out and speak up. You never know who needs you.

Quite often people don’t know how to approach the subject. Don’t know how to react, what to say or find the words of information they think they need to say.

People worry they will upset another. We are all human after all. But by speaking out it can help other feel less vulnerable and isolated. It can be the difference in someone’s mental health. By speaking out we remember the babies taken too soon because they matter too.

If you, a family member or friend has experienced baby loss, please be the person who reaches out. Reach out if you need an ear to listen or to be the ear that listens.

Whilst it’s hard and emotional and we may not even understand, it is important to let grieving mothers know that the babies they carry in their hearts are just as cherished as the ones they carry in their arms.

This week gives us another reason to talk about their memories because they matter.

😴💤 The Children’s Trust Pyjama Week 😴💤

💜 The Children's Trust Pyjama Week 2024 is a heartwarming fundraising campaign that encourages individuals, schools, and organizations to wear their favourite pyjamas for a day while raising funds to support children with brain injury and neurodisability ⭐️

To celebrate pyjama week you can:
💜 Wear your pyjamas! Whether you wear them to one of our classes, work or school, it is sure to be a fun day and you could collect donations.

🩷 Share photos of yourself and your group wearing pyjamas on social media, using the official campaign hashtag to spread the word!

💛 Take the opportunity to educate others about the challenges faced by children with brain injury and how The Children’s Trust makes a difference.

🍁🍂 Hello September! 🍂🍁

💜This month we are encouraging a month of movement with the lead up to the upcoming 'I can move' Children's Cancer North event.

💜September is Childhood cancer awareness
month an international campaign to raise awareness and support for children’s and young people’s cancers.

💜Cancer is different in children and young people, so it needs a different and dedicated approach.
This month we partner with charities, funders and families affected by cancer to have the biggest possible impact.

💜Step by step, day by day, the work completed by these amazing organisations means. that more children and young people with cancer live better lives through more effective and less toxic treatments.

💜Follow our month of movement to raise awareness and encouraging everyone to move more, make healthy choices and donate if available to. We will be sharing ways you can show your support.

💜Day 1 starts with our Plank hold. 'Hands down' as we say in class... Try this and comment done when you've completed it. ✅

💜Ease your way in
Remember to stretch before and after you plank and gradually build up how long you plank for throughout the month.

💜How to plank
-Push into your forearms and feet to push up into a straight line keeping your back flat.
-Hold the plank for around 1-2 minutes or whatever is suitable for you. Start with 10-30 seconds. And keep going!
-If you are new to planking you can amend your planks to keep your knees on the ground and hold it for less time.
