As volunteers week comes to an end lets say a massive Thank you to our volunteers. It takes volunteers in lots of different roles to enable us to deliver event medical cover, youth work, training & community engagement.
From the youngest 5 year old badger to those with 50+ years service and still volunteering we appreciate them all. 💚🚑🖤🦡💚

The Women's Institute voted in the resolution 'Bystanders can be lifesavers' at their AGM yesterday. We are really pleased at St John Ambulance that the WI has chosen this as their campaign for this year. We have already been to some WIs to teach CPR and have more booked in. But there's always room for more. Just drop us a message.

Today some of our volunteers were out and about with the St John Ambulance Young Responder team at the Knife Angel opening event in Newton Aycliffe.

We got to speak to a lot of people about street first aid and saw lots of young people practicing CPR and how to apply a tourniquet using a pair of socks and a toothbrush!

We will be attending the closing event on 28th June if you would like to come and join in!

The Knife Angel is coming to Newton Aycliffe!

We are honoured to be part of the opening event to welcome the iconic Knife Angel sculpture to Newton Aycliffe Town Centre as part of the National Anti-Violence Tour, in memory of Jack Woodley.

We will be there working alongside the St John Ambulance Young Responders team to provide training on street first aid and life saving skills.

The ceremony is Saturday 31st May at 12:00pm in Newton Aycliffe town centre so please come along and say hi to us if you can! 💚

Our thoughts are with our colleagues who were volunteering in Liverpool yesterday and provided care to the injured in such a difficult situation. It's what we train for but hope we never need. 💚🚑🖤

Our thoughts are with those injured and the people of Liverpool 💚
