FITNESS FRYDAY
Christmas themed dance class today - Sam and Llewellyn didn't do much dancing as they were too busy having a Christmas sing along. πŸŽΆπŸ˜‚. Then it was our usual visit to cafe Therese for a fry up. We recycled on the way back to the HUB. The draw for our raffle took place today... Drumroll πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯and Leigh Eccles won the sweetie tree, we had other prizes too and the winners will be contacted over the weekend. Thanks to everyone who took part.
The afternoon was spent chilling with a Christmas movie and some hot chocolate with marshmallows.

THIS & THAT THURSDAY
Volunteering in Mount Stewart today. We did a litter pick around the car park and the lake. CJ was completely disgusted by how much litter we lifted.
In the afternoon Sam headed to get some supplies for the hub while Connie & Callum did their chores and delivered a hamper to Rocky Acres and had a great chat with Rosemary Boston & Caroline.
We are famous today!!!
We are in the Chronicle with some fab pictures of our coffee morning.

WELLBEING WEDNESDAY
Festive circuits to start the day then back to the HUB for a cuppa and Erin had a glass of fizz (shlour). We sorted out all the food donated from The Warehouse Newtownards and we have made up a hamper to share. We got all our Christmas presents for family wrapped and labelled. It was pizza making for lunch today. Connie was happy with just cheese but the boys had a bit of everything and we made our own garlic bread which was delicious. We finished our day with a mindfulness session to get us all relaxed before home.

TRAVEL TUESDAY
CELEBRATING CJ
It was CJs birthday celebration day today. He chose to go bowling then Blue Chicago for lunch. We had a break in The Warehouse Newtownards this morning and they made a very generous donation of non perishable goods for the HUB which is very much appreciated.
Off to the icebowl to let the fun begin. Llewellyn and Margaret were ruthless with how competitive they were πŸ˜‚.
Connie was in the lead until the very last throw of the bowl but the joint winners were Sam & Llewellyn. We headed over to blue Chicago for lunch which was delicious. Connie and CJ especially enjoyed the milk shakes.
On the way home we called into the shopping centre and enjoyed the school choir singing Christmas carols and Callum treated himself to some wine gums.

COMMUNITY MONDAY
We headed for the shops in Bangor city today to buy gifts for our families. So many things to choose from and Callum found it hard but once he had bought himself some reindeer antlers and wine gums he then picked for his family πŸ˜‚
We then headed for a walk around ward park and enjoyed seeing lots of squirrels playing around the trees. Lunch was in King Street Kitchen and as always it was gorgeous, thanks Aaron Hanna. We took a wee walk down to the marina and along to Ballyholm and back to the car. Lots of shopping, eating and fresh air today and plenty of steps. We called into the Terry Bradley gallery where llewellyn was very tempted to make a purchase and Sam thought it was very like a hairdressers πŸ˜‚ we got nice bracelets that have been designed by Terry.

This week we have been thinking about everyone who supports us. We are so thankful to everyone who came and supported our coffee morning and to anyone who has bought ballot tickets so far. We have a few craft items of anyone wants any last minute gifts.
We are always humbled by the kindness and support we have been shown right since we started our journey to create East Coast Day Opportunities and especially since we opened. Hard to believe it's nearly a year since team East Coast started our adventures. So thank you to everyone who has been part of the story so far.

FITNESS FRYDAY
Usual start to Friday with our dancercise class in Portaferry and then a trip to cafe Therese for a fry. Back at the hub Bryan HT did a festive flower basket workshop with us and then we had a cuppa and a sing song. Our friend Donna Moore called in with Christmas goodies for us all. We had a visit from Mairead to buy some ballot tickets and Ronnie and Margaret called in and we gave them a festive planter and a card for all their hard work helping us.
Remember you can still enter the draw to win the Christmas sweety tree and Christmas crafts.
Another amazing week for team East Coast.

THIS & THAT THURSDAY
Today we were invited to the volunteers Christmas get together at Mount Stewart where we had a chat to everyone and enjoyed some delicious tray bakes. The boys wrote their letters to Santa and posted them - both claim to be on the good list but time will tell πŸŽ…
We then headed to the house where we did a bit of carol singing under the tree 🎢 before we enjoyed a lovely winter wonderland walk around the lake. We tried to do a coordinated rendition of the 'step into Christmas' song which led to more out takes than in takes but we had the best laugh. Back at the HUB it was lunch and chill time for Erin, Callum & Connie while Sam and Janine headed up the road and had lunch out and did a bit of Christmas shopping.
We would offer to bring our singing services to you all but I think we need a bit more practice πŸ˜‚πŸŽΆπŸŽΆπŸŒ²
