🐷 This Little Piggy Needed a Podiatrist…

We aren’t kidding when we say: check your feet every day! Especially if you feel something sore, annoying or just “not right”.

Because this little piggy nearly didn’t go to market…

What you can see here is a sneaky hair wrapped tightly around the toe, acting like a tiny zip tie and cutting into the skin.
This is known as a hair tourniquet.

Left too long, it can:
❌ Cut into the skin and create a wound
❌ Lead to infection
❌ Restrict blood flow
❌ Cause swelling, intense pain and serious damage to the toe

The scary part?
It can look minor at first but worsen quickly.

What to look out for:

✅ Swollen, red or deeply indented toes
✅ Tight, throbbing or unexplained toe pain
✅ Visible hair or thread wrapped around the toe

If spotted:
➡️ Remove immediately if safe to do so
➡️ If skin looks damaged or circulation is affected, get it checked ASAP

Moral of the story:
If your piggies look like they’re in distress… don’t ignore them 🐷💚
