✨ ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

Many of you who have visited me in the last few months at The Hidden Gem knew that due to a change in my circumstances later this year that I would be closing my treatment room in Pontefract.

I am now offering reflexology from my brand new home therapy room in Normanton.

Thank you to Kate from The Hidden Gem and Lunar Brows & Ink who has created a fabulous space where in the last 18 months I have built my business from ZERO clients to having the most wonderful clients who I am so thankful for 🙏

I love being able to offer you that little escape where you can take time out for yourself and enjoy the relaxing benefits that reflexology has to offer.

I am back doing what I love treating you wonderful people after spending a fabulous week cruising the Norwegian Fjords 🇳🇴 If you haven't been I can definitely recommend it, it has the most magical scenery I have ever seen 🧡

Thank you for keeping me so busy in the treatment room for the last few months, I could not have asked for anything more 🙏

I have met so many lovely people since opening my treatment room at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract last September and I am so happy that you continue to allow me to support you with your wellbeing.

There has been lots going on with many people trying my new Facial Reflexology treatment alongside their foot reflexology and the feedback has been incredible 🧡

I am also nearing completion of a case study for a new Facial treatment which I will be advertising very soon so keep a look out for that 👀

I shall be taking a break at the end of this week as I go on my travels to practice what I preach and take a bit of time out to relax and recharge🔋

My diary is open for July and is filling up nicely so please get in touch if you would like to secure your place on the treatment couch.

Micro-stressors 🌧️

April has marked Stress Awareness Month and while stress is unavoidable and some amounts of stress can have a positive effect encouraging us to get motivated and complete tasks or help us focus there are also the everyday stresses which often we do not recognise as being detrimental to our health and well-being.

These seemingly small amounts of stress can build up over time and can over-spill into our work and personal life before we have even realised what has happened. These are known as Micro-stressors and could be:

📌 Clutter in the home which remains in the back of your mind all day
📌 Negative,repetitive thoughts
📌 Getting stuck in traffic or someone cutting in front
📌 A workplace whose values and ethics do not align with your own
📌 The hard work and effort you put in being overlooked whether that be in your personal or professional life
📌 Negative interactions with friends or family
📌 A physical injury which flares up
📌 Not getting enough sleep, exercise or poor nutrition
📌 Loud music being played perhaps in a neighbouring property
📌 Misplacing something important; keys, phone, paperwork

On their own it may not register to us that these things may have a ripple through our day and effect how we may act later on but if you get a few of these micro-stressors happening together they can have a huge impact on how you feel by the time you kick your shoes off on an evening.

👉 So what can be done?

Have a think about your micro-stressors and see if anything can be done to ease the effect they have. Could going for a walk before work or during a lunch break help to clear your mind and make you feel a bit better. Is there a particular piece or music or meditation app which always helps to calm any internal noise. Could it be a case or fixing that squeaky door or having a designated place for keys or important paperwork.

Stress management looks different for everyone so find what works for you and try and build it into your week as many times as you can to help you maintain a mindset which allows you feel calm, confident and in control.

🌱 Fertility/Reproductive Reflexology Case Study Required 🌱

I am currently completing additional training in advanced techniques for fertility and reproductive reflexology also known as Reproflexology

In order to gain my accreditation with the Association of Reproflexologists I am looking for case study clients to work with over a seven week period.

Our first session together would involve a comprehensive consultation followed by six weekly reproductive reflexology sessions.

As these treatments will form part of my case study there will be a generous discount applied.

✨ Happy New Year!! ✨

Welcome 2024 🥳 - a new year, a fresh start, a chance to reflect on what has gone before and think about any goals we have for this year.

Yesterday I spent an amazing couple of hours at a New Years Eve event hosted by Yoga by Nadine Hill 🙏

We said goodbye to 2023 and all the things we would rather leave behind and envisaged what we would like our life to look like in 2024 ready to step forward into the new year with intention and purpose.

The new year is a time when lots of people make changes but know that if this is not for you for whatever reason the most important thing is that you take things at your own pace and take time to look after your health and wellness 🧡

I love the start to a new year for all its possibilities and the event yesterday helped me to think clearly about what is important. I have woken this morning with positivity and hope for the year ahead.

Thank-you for choosing me to be your reflexologist in 2023 it means so much 🙏 I am pleased to announce I will be adding some new offerings to my treatment menu this year and I look forward to welcoming back existing clients as well as new when my doors reopen on Saturday 6th January.

Driving home for Christmas 🎄

I have spent a wonderful few days back in my home town of Ashford, Kent catching up with friends and family and doing all things festive ✨

Now it’s back to Yorkshire for a bit of downtime and lots of turkey, chocolate and mince pies 🥳

I wanted to say a huge thank-you to everyone who has supported me over the last few months in my new business venture. To those who have come for treatments, purchased gift vouchers, given me wonderful feedback and to everyone who has liked and shared my posts, and to all the lovely businesses at The Hidden Gem in Pontefract who have made me feel so welcome 🥰
