‼️ Reclining Chairs Update ‼️

Whilst we are hard at work trying to make everyone comfortable whilst you stay with us and visit Ward 26, at Scunthorpe, unfortunately our chairs are not due to be delivered until mid June. Therefore to avoid any disappointment we wanted to make everyone is aware that we do not have them just yet.

Thankyou for bearing with us and we look forward to making your stay as comfortable as possible once they arrive ❀️❀️

NeuroNatal have launched The Unheard: NeuroNatal Voices Survey. This is the first survey of its kind to capture neurodivergent parents' experiences of UK maternity care at scale.

Despite growing awareness of neurodivergence in the perinatal period, there is currently no large-scale UK data on how neurodivergent parents experience maternity services.

The Unheard survey is the first step in changing that. Findings will be compiled into a formal published report in Autumn 2026, with recommendations to inform maternity policy for neurodivergent parents across the UK.

The survey is open to any neurodivergent parent (diagnosed or self-identified) who has accessed UK maternity care in the last 5 years. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and will remain open for 4 weeks.

Today a small group of us visited Scunthorpe hospital to look around their maternity areas for our annual 15 steps event. This is a chance to highlight things from a service users perspective, what’s good & what may need some improvement or ideas to make things better.

A full report will be published in the coming weeks on our website and emailed out to our mailing list / trust wide.

Want to join us on our next visit or be invited to any future events we hold get in touch so we can add you to our list, we are always looking for volunteers for these kinds of things and your perspectives really matter to us. πŸ’œ

Please do share with anyone you know who had a baby locally at the start of this year.

The MNVP is closely involved in the outcomes of this survey and the actions the hospitals will take from it / how they can improve where needed.

So your input is really important and greatly appreciated πŸ’œπŸ™

Was your baby born in January or February 2026? You could be invited to take part in our major survey that assesses the quality of maternity services in England.

We’ve been working closely with the teams over the last year or so to help secure these chairs for partners as part of things like the 15 steps visits and our partner project survey.

Your feedback has helped to push for this!

We are so happy to see them now on the wards! πŸ‘πŸ˜
