I hear this over and over again in my therapy room, along with my own personal experience. I wonder how many of you can resonate with this?

One of the things I constantly tell my clients is...

"Don't blame the broken, blame the breaker".

Read it again, until it sinks in.

Stop blaming yourself or allowing others to blame you- the broken one, who has been broken by the breakers actions...

But this runs so much deeper, who broke the breaker of you, and so on. When we unpick, we understand, then we can let go ❤️

It's OK the grieve something that wasn't good for you, we are often grieving for what we wanted it to be and what we never got.
Be kind to yourself.

It's often when we find ourselves in a better place, safer, securer, happier that what we've been through hits us hard. This is because we don't need to live in survival mode anymore, we can be vulnerable and finally find the time to heal safely ❤️💕

Trust that it always comes out, no need to tell your story, they do it themselves. Spend time writing your new one, as the old one doesn't define you anymore! 💗

I use to worry about things far beyond my control, I would exhaust situations over and over in my head, that in reality never ended up happening.

However, from a life of endless worrying I have learnt to concentrate on what I can control, which in turn has set me free from the heavy burden I carried around.
