Anxiety and depression.

As someone who has suffered with this in the past, I know how debilitating it can be, so much so that you can’t see too far into the future because it’s just far too difficult.

I have worked with a lot of people who suffer with anxiety and depression and when they’ve come to the end of their therapy sessions with me, their life hasn’t actually changed but the way they think about it does. Our minds can be our worst enemy sometimes.

When our moods are very low, sleep can be affected and simple tasks can seem too big to tackle which then leads to procrastination.

The good thing is that sometimes just understanding how our brains work can help us to get control over our emotions again and then we can get your sleep under control so you can tackle whatever you need to deal with and generally feel much more at peace. Grief and Christmas.

Grief is something that I’ve dealt with first hand so I know how tough special occasions can be and with Christmas around the corner, I thought I would talk a bit about it.

Sometimes we can feel like we’ve got control over grief and then a certain time of year can make us spiral down those dark and tough emotions again and it feels like we’re back at square one.

Just know that you can look back and see how far you’ve come and actually you have got through so much already but grief comes in waves so sometimes we have to be kind to ourselves and ride those waves and you can be reassured that the light is in the future for you again 🌟

Why do some people v**e or smoke when they don’t want to, why do some people drink too much even though they don’t like it, why do some people eat too much or the wrong foods then feel uncomfortable? 🤔

That’s the question isn’t it, if this is you then you would already know the answer and could make the appropriate changes, right?

Hmmm unfortunately it’s not always as simple as that, is it?

More often than not there’s a deep reason why we have destructive behaviours, possibly a coping strategy so by addressing those in a safe and positive way then changing habits for good becomes much easier.

Having tools and recognising our triggers helps us to have more control so our changes can be more permanent 🙏

Weight loss and keeping it off 💪

I recognise nowadays weight issues can be a big concern for a lot of people due to the effect it can have on our health and also the way we feel about ourselves.

I’m also aware of the interest of the relatively new drugs on the market to help people to loose weight fast and I’d love to offer an alternative.

If weight problems is something you’re concerned about, did you know that hypnosis can be really helpful with supporting you to loose weight naturally, by helping your subconscious to make better decisions so you can get more control over the food you choose and also feel really good about yourself in the meantime by receiving more of those feel good chemicals like Dopamine and serotonin.

Some of the issues with weight gain is that we sometimes use foods as coping mechanisms and solution focused hypnotherapy will help you to find other coping mechanisms so you don’t feel the need to rely on the foods that cause you to put on weight. With a lot more people now starting to ask those deeper questions like what do dreams mean, do I have past lives, why do I have Deja vu, am I a spiritual being 🤷‍♀️ I think more people are interested in what has happened in past lives and if something you’re dealing with in this life is because of something in your past life and if you clear that karma which has left you with physical issues in this life.

The great news is that you can 😊 I can take you on a journey into a past life during hypnosis and be shown a life by your higher self or spiritual guides. Removing destructive behaviours, eg - eating unhealthy foods or too much food, too much alcohol, smoking.

As I’m sure most people are aware that hypnosis is a great way to loose weight or to give up something that isn’t healthy for us, but did you know that we normally have those habits because we are using them as coping mechanisms and our subconscious will encourage us to repeat behaviour to keep us safe rather than dealing with the issues in hand.

Solution focused hypnotherapy is great because I can help you to understand your triggers and change those negative habits into positive behaviours so you can enjoy your life without the guilt you hold after having a heavy night, or eating all of that chocolate bar or smoking a cigarette which you know is affecting your health.

The joy therapist!

After seeing a beautiful friend of mine today for some spiritual healing and a really positive experience as usual, it occurred to me that although we offer very different therapies, our ultimate goal is same…..

To hold the hands of our clients to help them to find joy in life again…..

To help them to see the light in life…..

To support the mission of empowering clients to find themselves again without life limiting blocks….

And 100% to be their biggest cheerleader and celebrate all of the little wins with them 🙌

When people ask me what I do then my answer is….. I make people feel good 🥰 no rudeness intended 😂 but the ultimate goal is for clients to leave feeling really good after every session and continue with the new tools of feeling joy again in every day and this lead to my friend pointing out that my tittle should be The Joy Therapist, who knows that might just catch on 🥰😎

I am honestly so pleased to have this new skill under my belt so I can help more people crack those annoying habits and empower them to get control back 💪

I knew hypnosis was good but even I’m surprised how effective this therapy is and just by relaxing the mind enough to get into the subconscious, we can create a new positive behaviour by finding the answers within you as you already have the solutions within you ❤️
