This is Carol, she has just completed the Next Door Fitness 8- week course and I'm sure you'll agree she looks fabulous.

Through a mixture of daily exercises and taking control of her food and drink Carol is much fitter and has lost more than a stone. No dieting, no overwhelming fitness fads just some better decisions and a few subtle tweaks.

I had lost some weight and try to be healthy but had come to a plateau. My friend told me about the winning combination of Iain and Becki at Next Door Fitness. I needed a different approach and after a telephone chat with Iain I felt they could help.

Becki dealt with the physical side. As I live in Oxfordshire and often spend time away, I joined her zoom classes. In addition, Becki sent me a plan which I could do as and when I like. I could do some exercises whilst cooking dinner if I wanted. What I love is there were moves I couldn’t do at the start but now I don’t hesitate to do them.

My zooms with Iain were set for convenient times. It was good to have a focus each week to review achievements and consider what did/didn’t work for me. My lightbulb moment was realising it’s all up to me.

My Fitness Pal, Fitbit and Gousto have all become parts of my life. I know if I go off the rails, I can sort it out. Nothing is off limits.

I tried various weekly challenges and the ones I have stuck with are not drinking alcohol, I stopped wine first and then virtually stopped all alcohol. So far, I don’t miss it. I’ve started drinking at least 1 litre of water each day. I do some form of exercise each day even if it’s just walking.

I’m now able to wear smaller clothes and feel good when I put them on. In the dark I accidentally put on a pair of my husband’s shorts, and they fitted me, wow that was a special moment, my husband is a super slim cyclist. Other people have noticed I look different, and I’ve started to get compliments. I feel so much healthier, not so lethargic all the time.

I know for certain I have lost over 1 stone during the 8 weeks and the thing I love is THREE inches off each thigh.

After spotting a post on Facebook showing the results that a lady had achieved on the Next Door Fitness 8 week course I decided to give it a go. I was mainly looking to find my groove and some motivation as I am a pretty active person generally.

The course absolutely worked! I had a great experience with Next Door Fitness. Iain has taught me how to take control and really understand what I am eating. Becki's fun and supportive classes helped me get back the motivation I had lost in relation to exercise.

I now have more variety in my weekly routine and I am pushing myself more and feeling stronger. I also loved the flexibility of how I could access Becki's classes. I have lost some weight but for me gaining control, and generally feeling energised again both physically and mentally have been the best outcomes.

Both Iain and Becki are down to earth, approachable and incredibly supportive and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for guidance and support to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing.

Since our last post about Jules's transformation we have had so many lovely messages. Thank you! All the congratulations go to Jules for rediscovering her confidence.... and her jeans. I'm sure you'll agree she looks fab in them.

As you'll have seen in the previous post she lost 15lbs and lost 7 inches from her waist in just 8 weeks without dieting. She took control of food and exercise while continuing her life as a busy working Mum.

The stats are all fantastic but the real winner is that for a long time Jules was avoiding social situations because of how she felt about herself and now she has a spark back and is loving doing so much more. She is happier in herself, fitter and more capable which means so many more activities and fun days out with the kids. The future is bright for this super-mum, soon the kids won't be able to keep up with her 🤸‍♀️.

So how exactly did Next Door Fitness help Jules?

*For 8 weeks she had a weekly Zoom fitness session with Becki and also participated in additional group sessions that Becki runs every week. All of it expertly tailored to her fitness levels and to increase fitness and tone all the right areas.

**In addition Jules and I (Clint) had 30 minutes of weight loss coaching each week. We worked on making really small changes each week which allowed for consistent results.

Nothing either physically nor mentally was difficult and once we made a plan all Jules needed to do was stick to it. She even got to eat and drink her favourite foods throughout the whole process. It does require a real commitment and effort and our role is to make the process as simple as possible.

This is Jules's story in her own words......

INTRODUCTION:
I saw ‘the’ post on Facebook for an 8 week course to lose weight & to be a fitter healthier me! it hit me! I was ready for this, finally ready to get ME back!

Since having my babies I have missed out so much ‘ME’ time and all my time was devoted to them. Also I wanted to be able to play football and play with them without being out of breath.

I contacted Becks, a friend I hadn’t seen for 9 years to sign up. Becks introduced me to Next Door Fitness & the amazing Iain.

And then came the first session, I was totally nervous as I hadn’t exercised properly for 9 years, but super excited for the challenge. Becks was amazing, I really enjoyed our 1:1 sessions and also joined Becks zoom classes. I l love the range of exercises, the classes are fun, friendly and Becks made me feel welcome and part of the family.

THE PROCESS:
Being a mum my life is super busy & all around the kiddies. Anola being Type 1 diabetic means extra time is required monitoring (like having a newborn) i new it wasn’t going to be easy. But after a couple of sessions with Becks I loved it, the motivational calls with Iain helped me understand the importance of me and massively helped my mindset. I adapted and made ‘ME’ time. I felt amazing & super positive.

Iain gave me so much confidence in taking control, making the right choices, being positive, changing my mindset and benefits around my choices. losing weight & toning at the same time, finally getting into smaller jeans that fit great, people commenting on how great I look, gave me confidence, made me feel capable of achieving my goals.
