Looking Forward Group & Activities Passionate about providing meaningful activities for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism across Cheshire. Transport across Cheshire available.

Activities run 9-5 Monday - Friday, we also offer evening and weekend activities. Great activities across Cheshire

Social Groups - Make new friends, plan activities together, be included and have FUN!! Work skills opportunities in our Activity Cafe on a Wednesday 1.00-4.00 at Northwich & District Youth Centre

Outcome based group - A place for people with learning disabilities to make friends, improve social and life skills, and most of all have FUN!! AIMS Of Looking Forward Outcome group
To support members in the following areas:

Being Healthy

• Introduction to a variety of sports and leisure activities
• Guidance on healthy eating, with the opportunity to cook simple meals and dine out

Staying Safe

• Teaching and re-enforcing good road safety practice whilst out and about
• Planning travel using public transport
• Staying Safe – Drama based learning
• Personal Safety talk by the Police
• First Aid
. Self Defence Workshop

Enjoy and Achieve

• A fun place which enables socialisation
• Confidence building through games & team working

Making a Positive Contribution

• Planning and decision making in respect of day to day running of the group

• Develop positive relationships

Achieving Economic Wellbeing

• Develop personal and social skills
• Discussion based topics around ‘thinking about work’ & ‘supported living’

• Members will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of activities. The main emphasis will be on developing life and social skills

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
• Have a Learning Disability/Difficulties
• Age 16+
• Have independent personal care skills
• Behaviour must not cause a risk to themselves, other members or staff
• Places must be booked, this is not a drop in facility
