I get absolutely sick of seeing installations like this, it’s either due to lack of training or it’s someone that simply just doesn’t care and in this industry in particular i find it disgusting!
When you are tasked with fitting a stairlift for an elderly or disabled person and you don’t have the ability to do it correctly you should be ashamed of yourself!
Leaving the rail sticking halfway into a bedroom doorway is totally unacceptable and extremely unsafe.
Luckily this customer had me come out and remove this lift (after just 12 months) and fit one correctly (battery died so couldn’t take a picture) but the installation done by me left the rail sticking out just before the handrail you see in the doorway, causing no tripping hazard for the customer.
Please be careful when looking for stairlifts! Do your research, check company reviews, ask to see past work, get multiple quotes, ask as many questions as possible and choose wisely.
