This week, I was inspired by a mentor from the personal growth group I'm involved in. He was speaking about how if you stay on that journey long enough a break will come your way, but most people quit too early.
He likened this to children at a party, eagerly swinging at a piñata. This analogy sparked my reflection on how similar this is to the world of elite and professional sport.

Imagine you're a child eagerly waiting to hit the piñata, anticipating the burst of sweets with each swing. When it's your turn, your heart races as you're blindfolded and spun around. You swing... and miss. Do you stop, or do you keep swinging?

Persistence is key. Some children quit after missing, seeking immediate gratification elsewhere, while a few persist through disappointment, eventually breaking through and reaping rewards.

Just think of your journey to professional and elite sport. You train rigorously, aiming for unseen yet deeply believed goals. Success often comes from unexpected breakthroughs, not just immediate achievements. Every missed opportunity is a step towards ultimate success.

The journey of an athlete is marked by moments of disappointment and setbacks, like the frustration of missing the piñata. It's a vivid reminder of how expectations can lead to disillusionment when outcomes don't align with our desires.

This is where the metaphor splits the winners from the rest: some give up, disheartened by the missed swings, while others adjust their stance, recalibrate their aim, and swing with even greater determination. Those who persevere, who refuse to be swayed by the blindfold of expectations, are the ones who eventually hear the satisfying crack of the bat connecting, spilling the rewards of their efforts for all to see. One of the daily practices that I do is spend 20 -30 minutes on my Calm App and listen the daily Jay and a meditation.
Today really resonated with me as this year I have decided to dedicate my time to supporting gymnasts and create courses and programmes for them to develop their mental performance so that they can take their gymnastics to the next level with renewed confidence and resilience. 💪
This quote defines what I am doing as:
👩‍🏫I am learning to transfer my knowledge into on demand learnings as I have learnt over the years that as gymnasts and parents, it’s hard to find allocated time to attend live events or sessions due to training, education, competition and travelling.
I have learnt that parents have a lot of hanging around time which my clients have utilised by watching my masterclasses in my mental performance library.
🥇I will be launching a variety of programmes/courses over the coming months and once they are created, I will love seeing you all transforming your mental fitness. ❤️

We are constantly being told to concentrate on setting goals and achievements yet the problem is that we can constantly chasing the ideal.

Once we achieve something, the feeling of satisfaction disappears as we start to aim for another goal.

We never get to be truly happy. Instead work on what you want to be. Fully embrace you and you will be amazed of what you will achieve.

Hi All,

I know some of you know that I am a Sport and High-Performance Psychologist and I have opened my calendar for 5 athletes or high-performers to have a 60-minute transformation session with me and I'm waiving the fee, which is normally £125.

For that consultation, I am waiving the fee providing you meet certain criteria.

You need to be either someone who wants to get started in a new business, an athlete who wants to develop your mental fitness or you are successful in your own field already and you want to scale to the next level of success.

However, something is holding you back and you are not being as productive as you know you can be.

You could be an athlete, entrepreneur, student, or someone who wants to do more with their life but you need to be committed to attending and then implementing the roadmap after our session.

I have worked with 100's of people who have been able to take their success to the next level and one thing that they all have in common is that once they had implemented these strategies, they were able to be more productive so that they could spend less time procrastinating and more time doing what they love.
