💥 Injured? Don’t guess — get expert advice. 💥

When you’re injured, it’s tempting to “push through,” Google your symptoms, or wait it out. But getting advice from an experienced physiotherapist early can make all the difference.

✅ Faster and safer recovery
✅ Correct diagnosis (not just treating the pain)
✅ Personalised rehab plan for your body and lifestyle
✅ Reduced risk of re-injury or long-term issues
✅ Confidence to move again without fear

An experienced physio doesn’t just treat injuries — they help you understand them, recover properly, and get back to doing what you love stronger than before 💪

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your body and get it checked. Early advice = better outcomes.

Just been interviewed by ITV central about the benefits of trail running for mental health. Tiny amount of time to get across so many benefits…..it was absolutely freezing out but I’d still rather be out on the trails than on the road 🥰🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️

Trail running can be especially powerful for mental health because it combines physical exercise with time in nature and mindful movement. Here are the key benefits:

🌿 Reduced Stress and Anxiety
• Being in natural environments lowers cortisol (the stress hormone).
• Uneven terrain encourages present-moment focus, which can quiet anxious thoughts.
• Rhythmic movement and breathing help regulate the nervous system.

🧠 Improved Mood and Emotional Well-Being
• Like all aerobic exercise, trail running boosts endorphins and serotonin.
• Nature exposure is linked to reduced rumination and depressive symptoms.
• Many runners report feeling calmer and more emotionally balanced after trail runs than road runs.

🎯 Enhanced Focus and Mental Clarity
• Navigating roots, rocks, and elevation changes requires attention, improving cognitive engagement.
• This “soft fascination” can restore mental energy and reduce mental fatigue.

💪 Increased Resilience and Confidence
• Overcoming challenging terrain builds mental toughness.
• Completing trail runs often boosts self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
• Learning to adapt to changing conditions strengthens psychological flexibility.

🧘 Mindfulness and Flow States
• Trail running naturally promotes mindfulness—your awareness stays in the body and environment.
• Many runners experience flow states, which are associated with happiness and reduced stress.

🤝 Sense of Connection
• Running in nature can foster a sense of connection to the environment.
• Trail communities and group runs provide social support, which is protective for mental health.

🌙 Better Sleep
• Regular trail running improves sleep quality, especially when done earlier in the day and outdoors with natural light exposure

2025 was the year of shedding 🐍.
Endings. Healing. Lessons I didn’t ask for but needed.

Now here we are in 2026 — the Year of the Horse 🐎
Movement after stillness.
Freedom after heaviness.
New beginnings after surviving.

I’m stepping into this year lighter, braver, and ready to run toward what feels true. (Maybe not always running as I need more recovery now I’m 50 😂😂)
Not rushing — just finally moving forward.

Here’s to momentum, passion, and fresh starts.
Here’s to a good year after a hard one ✨
