‘Free Flowing Threads’ is now underway and I will be sharing some ‘Soma-Snacks’ in between sessions for the participants to try at home. Here’s a clip from the first one: a soothing breath-work practice called Box-Breathing or Square Breathing.

Movement and dance isn’t just for the stage - it’s for healing, self-awareness, and even professional growth. As a somatic movement educator and dance artist, I’ve seen the incredible transformations that can happen when people connect with their bodies. Dance has helped me to release stress and anxiety in my daily life, and somatic movement has deepened my self-awareness and given me resources to cope with work and modern living.

If you’re not sure what a group somatic movement session with me might be like, here’s a short clip of an online session I delivered in collaboration with the talented creative Nina Ryner ☺️✨

Now that the summer is here (?) and space in my schedule is opening up, I’m starting to redirect my energy (and excitement!) to the Art Your Way Workshop commission with New Art Exchange I won recently. I will be designing and delivering a series of community somatic dance workshops with the intention to facilitate a healing and nourishing journey throughout the winter months for a small group of women-identified folk.

I’ve always been drawn to the arts and creativity, but withdrew into the visual arts professionally where I could hide and observe others safely. I always had a passion for dance, and eventually, dance and other somatic practices like yoga became the companion and healing balm I needed to piece myself back together when I felt my most confused and alone. Now having gone through a training in somatic movement at , I can recognise how valuable dance and somatic practices are for our individual, collective, and climate healing, in the face of an ever-violent and oppressive world moving relentlessly towards ‘progress’.

I can’t wait to share more about the series as it unfolds 😌 Stay tuned 💚

Welcome to my page!

I am a multi-faceted artist/facilitator and registered somatic movement educator (accredited by the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association) working across the UK.

My approach to the arts and wellbeing is holistic: I draw from my yoga practice of 10 years in my work, my experience and knowledge of African and Caribbean traditional dance forms, and other, more westernised somatic practices, such as Feldenkrais, Authentic Movement, Body Mind Centering and Continnum.
