I have a tall stack of books by my bedside and it's in danger of falling over! So many books, so little time... When I've gone through that stack I'll share the best ones, but for now here's another recommendation for you that I did finish.
I really enjoyed this one 'Without the Woo Woo'. It's an engaging title, taking a swipe at fluffy so-called new age ideas, but then going through and finding what's actually positive and useful in them. Emerging ideas in systems science, complexity and even physics are revealing surprising connections with ancient ways of thought, and this book explores some of them, such as the place of energy, the body's ability to heal, the power of love, coincidence and more.

Can't stand all this Positive Thinking lark? You might like this book then. It has the rather neat title of 'The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking', which is rather tongue in cheek I thought! It's about how we don't find happiness by seeking it, and that it doesn't help to be constantly trying to squash 'negative' thoughts - 'all this trying to make everything right is a big part of what's wrong...'. Full of nice juicy paradoxes, it's very entertaining as well as salutary.
