Delighted to share new workshop news 🎉

The very wonderful Roo .flower.studio who ran our wreath workshop before Christmas is back, this time with beautiful dried flower hoops alongside a prosecco 🥂cream tea 🌹🌸💐🫖 would be lovely to come along with friends or by yourself - it’s going to be a lush afternoon.

It has always been my hope that our workshops would be spaces that were good for the soul, where you’d find good company, great food & drink & the opportunity to be absorbed in creativity. They are spaces where you can step away from the busyness and allow yourself to focus on what’s in front of you, which is such a gift for our wellbeing.

Such a wonderful evening with — I had no idea how much technique and patience went into her biscuits. It was truly art. ✨
A lovely group of people, a welcome pause from the Christmas busyness, and the perfect chance to slow down and focus… helped along by mulled wine and warm, easygoing conversation.

Your teas & coffees at the weekend enabled us to buy sleeping bags, underwear, waterproofs & gloves from the winter appeal wish list to help the most vulnerable people in our city this Christmas. Being community is exactly what There is Much Joy Ahead is about.

One thing that is consistently commented on about and at our markets by people who come along & those who speak to me afterwards is the standard, quality & uniqueness of our makers. I always seek out makers who are passionate about what they do, hand make their work & create with great care. I am convinced it creates a warm and engaging environment- there is something special about there is much joy ahead markets - if you have never been you really should get our Spring market on 7th March at St Leonard’s Community Centre again in your diaries and check us out 💕
