Electrical Design Engineer
Due to our continued growth, Watt Energy Saver is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on a variety of renewable design projects, including Solar PV, Energy Storage and EV charging.
You'll get to experience projects from conception to completion and will provide engineering inputs from initial assessment, to technical and economic feasibility, due diligence, construction monitoring and completion.
You’ll also be reviewing and preparing technical and non-technical reports including specifications, proposals, designs, calculations and contracts. There will be technical tender support, actively assisting with business development and client management.
The Main Aspects of the Role Will Be:
• The use of software packages such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketch Up, PVSol, Amtech and Adobe
• Ensuring that all designs meet the technical, electrical and CDM regulations
• Create designs including 3D models and single line diagrams
• Undertaking electrical designs including cable calculations
• Ability to creatively consider the cost reduction ideas and strategies.
• To provide support for commercial tenders and planning applications
• Ensure the quality of the design meets company standards
• To provide support to the Project Managers for both roof top and ground mounted projects when required
Skills and Experience Required:
• CAD and Amtech experience
• Keen to learn and work with the team
• Good IT skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
Skills and Experience Advantageous:
• Knowledge of renewable energy
• Construction & Engineering Industry knowledge
• Knowledge of REVIT, Sketch-Up, PVSol and Adobe
