Looking to boost your mood, gently move your body, and connect with others in a relaxed and supportive space? Come and join our brand new Wellbeing Walking Group at Attenborough Nature Reserve! 🌳👟

Our walks are designed to support mental health and emotional wellbeing, alongside low-impact physical activity - perfect for all fitness levels.

📅 Every Tuesday
🕥 Time: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
📍 Attenborough Nature Reserve. Meeting point: Outside of the nature centre by the picnic benches (What3Words: cargo.glee.truly)
🌳 Free to attend – just bring yourself!

The walk is accessible for everyone, and you’ll be joined by friendly volunteers and community recovery coaches who are there to offer support, encouragement, or just a listening ear. Whether you're coming for the fresh air, the conversation, or a step toward feeling better - you'll be very welcome.

Let’s walk, talk, and feel better together 💙

ACTIVE LISTENING is a great skill to develop for all sorts of scenarios, and its actually a key skill that therapists and counsellors need to master, but it’s a great way to support a friend who’s opening up to you. Sometimes we think we’re saying the right thing to help, but sometimes people are just looking for someone to listen and really hear what they’re saying

Grounding techniques can help us when we’re feeling out of touch with our body and surroundings. They can help us reconnect to the present moment.

This might be because we’re experiencing difficult emotions, like fear, anxiety or anger. You can also use grounding techniques if you’re experiencing a panic attack.

This technique uses all 5 senses, and can be used any time.
