NEW FOR BASSETLAW! Stoma Awareness Get Together.

Many people in the Bassetlaw area are living with, or support someone with a stoma. Yet there is little awareness leaving many of our local people quite often feeling alone.

Living with a stoma isn't always easy and many are left feeling isolated, alone, and very anxious about life going forwards.

I support someone with a stoma. Getting to know them, how they live and manage their stoma has really given me an insight to their daily life. We began exercising and walking together and I soon had to learn about dehydration, the importance of electrolytes and how to manage a stoma at the top of a mountain with no facilities! Believe me, we've done it all 😂

We want to meet likeminded people living with or supporting someone with a stoma so have arranged a get together at Fusion Energy Café on Saturday 29th November at 11am.

UPDATE - the ring has been found !! Thank you for all your sharing, one lady is very happy this morning 😃

This is a long shot but a plea to our patients ….
One of our lovely nurses has lost her wedding ring today whilst working in Retford. She is naturally very upset and we wanted to reach out to any patients who may have visited the surgery today and possibly over the bridge to Morrisons and may have seen something or picked it up.
She has only realised this evening once she was home so will re-trace her steps tomorrow but if anybody sees anything on any community pages in and around Retford, could you please let us know at the practice.
Thank you in advance for any help. This is the exact ring which is lost .
