We’ve had the most EGG-citing time in our children’s Spring yoga sessions this Easter! 🐣✨
From hunting for eggs and creating fun yoga poses with our bodies, to carefully passing the egg with a peg (great teamwork and focus!), the laughter has been non-stop. We even danced along to the Easter Bunny Hokey Pokey (13 times in total) —shaking our ears, tails, and whiskers! 🐰💛
We also explored simple breathing techniques, helping the children to slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and find a sense of calm within all the excitement. It’s been wonderful to see them begin to understand how their breath can support their feelings and bodies.
Alongside this, we shared some lovely discussions about spring—thinking about what we would like to grow in our own lives 🌱 Whether that’s kindness, confidence, happiness, or friendship, the children reflected beautifully on the positive things they’d like to nurture.
It’s been such a joy watching the children explore movement, imagination, and play in a relaxed, inclusive and happy space. Through all the fun, they’ve also been building important skills—supporting their well-being, developing mindfulness, improving balance and coordination, and learning to connect with their bodies and breath.
Children’s yoga is such a beautiful way to nurture both body and mind, and this Easter has been full of smiles, giggles, and magical moments for which I am grateful for 🌈
With huge thanks to the children and parents of Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery, Weddington Pre-School, Milby Primary and Pre-School, Leamington and Rugby Children and Family Centres for the photos and memories 🌷
