We’ve had the most EGG-citing time in our children’s Spring yoga sessions this Easter! 🐣✨

From hunting for eggs and creating fun yoga poses with our bodies, to carefully passing the egg with a peg (great teamwork and focus!), the laughter has been non-stop. We even danced along to the Easter Bunny Hokey Pokey (13 times in total) —shaking our ears, tails, and whiskers! 🐰💛

We also explored simple breathing techniques, helping the children to slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and find a sense of calm within all the excitement. It’s been wonderful to see them begin to understand how their breath can support their feelings and bodies.

Alongside this, we shared some lovely discussions about spring—thinking about what we would like to grow in our own lives 🌱 Whether that’s kindness, confidence, happiness, or friendship, the children reflected beautifully on the positive things they’d like to nurture.

It’s been such a joy watching the children explore movement, imagination, and play in a relaxed, inclusive and happy space. Through all the fun, they’ve also been building important skills—supporting their well-being, developing mindfulness, improving balance and coordination, and learning to connect with their bodies and breath.

Children’s yoga is such a beautiful way to nurture both body and mind, and this Easter has been full of smiles, giggles, and magical moments for which I am grateful for 🌈

With huge thanks to the children and parents of Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery, Weddington Pre-School, Milby Primary and Pre-School, Leamington and Rugby Children and Family Centres for the photos and memories 🌷

🎶 Why should children learn to explore ? 🎶

It’s about so much more than music — it’s about confidence, wellbeing, and growth.
✨ Building Confidence
Learning an instrument helps children develop patience, focus, and resilience. Each small success builds self-belief, helping them feel proud of what they can achieve — both in music and beyond.
🌍 Exploring New Experiences
Music invites children to try something new, be creative, and express themselves freely. It can spark passion, curiosity, and even uncover talents they didn’t know they had.
🥁 Introducing Our Indian Tongue Drum
Our beautiful Indian tongue drum is perfect for beginners. With its soothing tones and intuitive design, children can create calming sounds instantly — no pressure, just play. It’s a wonderful way to gently introduce music in a fun and accessible way.
🧠 Supporting the Nervous System (Sound Therapy)
Music plays a powerful role in regulating the nervous system. The gentle, rhythmic sounds of instruments like the tongue drum can help children feel calm, grounded, and safe. This kind of sound therapy supports emotional regulation, reduces stress, and encourages a sense of balance and relaxation.
💛 A Skill for Life
Music becomes more than an activity — it becomes a tool children can use to self-soothe, express emotions, and connect with the world around them.
Give your child the gift of music — nurturing confidence, creativity, and calm in every note. 🎵

Ahimsa: the practice of kindness, on and off the mat 🌿
In our yoga classes, ahimsa—the principle of non-harming—is at the heart of everything we do. It invites us to move with awareness, listen to our bodies, and let go of judgment or comparison.
This means:
✨ Honouring your limits without pushing into pain
✨ Speaking to yourself with compassion, not criticism
✨ Creating a space where everyone feels safe, supported, and seen
Yoga isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. Through ahimsa, we learn that true strength comes from gentleness.
Join us on the mat and experience a practice rooted in care, respect, and mindful movement 💛

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from our little leprechauns! 🍀🌈

Today’s children’s yoga session took us on a magical adventure to Ireland, where we became playful leprechauns on a quest to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Along the way, we explored rolling hills, searched under rocks, and discovered wriggly snakes and hopping frogs! 🐍🐸

After all our exploring, we finally spotted a beautiful rainbow—and found the pot of gold! ✨🌈💛

To get our bodies warm and ready for the adventure, we danced a fast and lively Irish jig, filling the room with laughter, energy, and excitement. And after all that movement, we slowed things down with a calming relaxation, helping our little leprechauns rest their bodies and minds.

Children’s yoga offers so many wonderful benefits. It encourages collaboration through shared play and teamwork, brings joy through movement and imagination, and supports cultural understanding as children explore traditions and stories from around the world.

Such a magical and meaningful adventure! 💚

Thank you to all the little leprechauns that I am lucky to share these sessions with. You truly are magical 🌟
