As opticians we are always talking about lenses, but sometimes its good to remind ourselves just how good they are. Doing a long drive early this morning, initially in the dark then towards the rising sun, on wet roads, gave me a great chance to compare my normal Zeiss coated lenses against the Zeiss Drivesafe lenses. The Drivesafe lenses made a significant reduction in LED headlight glare, and as the sun rose and made the wet roads like a glaring spotlight, changing to polarised lenses made a huge difference.

Do ask your optician, whether it's us or not, about Zeiss Drivesafe lenses for night driving, and about the different darkness polarised lenses that are available for medium and bright light levels.

Or ask about having a Drivesafe lens in a frame that has a polarised magnetic clip to turn them into sunglasses!

We are looking to recruit a Dispensing Optician or experienced optical dispenser for our independent private practice.

As we are getting busier, we need to find another great person to ensure that we never need to rush anybody, and can spend quality time talking to our patients.

We are known for our great range of funky colourful frames, but also stock a large range of silhouette and other quality frames, which we normally glaze with Zeiss lenses.

2 big boxes arrived today, containing loads of colourful frames from one of our favourite independent suppliers, Wolf Eyewear.

If you walk past the practice tomorrow you will probably notice a generator outside. We have a minor problem with the mains power, which should be sorted in the next few days, according to the power company.

We are still open, but please be careful of the power lead in the practice. It is covered and hazard taped, so hopefully no problems seeing it!
