In November 2023 an MRI showed a tumour in my prostate, in February 2024 a biopsy confirmed it was a Stage 3 aggressive cancer.
For many personal reasons I passed on the NHS treatment of Hormone and Radiation Therapies. I embarked on a journey to heal my body.
Part of that journey has been Meditation.
Below is a study showing the benefits of mindfulness in pain and stress management.

12 months after my initial MRI I had another.
It showed NO SIGNS OF FURTHER GROWTH.

To that end I will be planning a Session of Meditation and Breathwork to help people with cancer and in remission or living with someone with cancer.

Conclusion:
Mindfulness-based practices are being increasingly utilized in various aspects of cancer management. It has shown utility in multiple prospective trials and continues to be explored. Most of the evidence of the benefit of mindfulness in cancer is to reduce toxicity and stress. There is a need for more prospective trials exploring its use in reducing cancer incidence or preventing its recurrence.

Simple Guided Meditation for All.

Although I aim my Meditation at men, I have listened to some feedback and will be offering my Sessions to everybody in November!

My Sessions will start again from 10am to 11am on Wednesday 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th November upstairs in the North Tawton Community Centre.
To make the Sessions accessible I keep my prices as low as possible so only ask for a minimum payment of £5. These Sessions are Pay As You Go no up front charge or commitments.

These Sessions will be concentrating on breathing and mind/body connection.

Meditation is scientifically proven to:
