We all remember to change our clocks, but when was the last time you checked your defibrillator or cabinet?

✅ Are the pads still in date?
✅ Is the battery showing full?
✅ Is it registered and active on The Circuit with North West Ambulance Service?

You can’t rewind the clock when a cardiac arrest happens — every minute without CPR and a defib reduces survival chances by 10%.

So tonight, while you’re turning your clocks back ⏰, take two minutes to check your local defibrillator too. It could save a life tomorrow.

🚨❤️ Today is Emergency Services Day ❤️🚨

At Defibrillators Save Lives, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible people who dedicate their lives to protecting ours.
From:
🚑 ambulance staff ,
🚒 firefighters,
👮 police,
and all those not mentioned and behind the scenes – our hearts go out to every single member of the emergency services across the country today.

We’re proud that part of our own team works on the frontline, 2 of which give back to the community totally free of charge, both in uniform and through our charity.

While we are not an emergency service, our mission is to bridge the gap. By teaching CPR and defibrillator use, we want to make sure that everyone has the basic life-saving skills to act confidently in the vital first minutes before emergency services arrive.

⚠️ Defibrillator Activation – The Spring Inn, Broad Lane ⚠️

As guardians, we’ve been notified that the defibrillator at the Spring Inn Pub on Broad Lane has been activated by North West Ambulance Service. This only happens at the very worst time in someone’s life.

Having this defib in the community meant that when it was needed, it was there to give someone a fighting chance and hope. 💛

We truly hope everyone involved is OK.

Each time this defib is used, vital parts such as the pads need replacing before it can go back into service. The cost is £80, and without them, this defib cannot be ready for the next emergency.

This Defibrillator is greatfully sponsored by Aspen Woodwork Ltd. This fantastic company has stepped in to help with the cost of pads when required in situations these. Huge thank you to Neil and the Team for this sponsorship!
