Dessert anyone? Jelly and ice-cream yum. 10 cal jelly and par frozen Muller light strawberry yogurt with some banana and custard Mueller light. Great alternative to higher fat versions. Tastes just as good and fixes that sweet tooth.

Fill up on vegetables and a lean protein to avoid hunger and temptations and to keep calories low when on a calorie deficit. I went veggie crazy here with carrots and parsnips, turnip, broccoli, cauliflower and peas. Good portion of smoked haddock and a low fat parsley/cheese sauce. I used the instant granules for convenience. I was completely full and didn't even think of food the rest of the evening.

No excuse with this one. One shop - Iceland. Garlic chicken with Brussel sprouts and bacon. All cooked within fifteen minutes on the one pan. High protein. All details in photos. I added a teaspoon cranberry jelly to keep it festive. This was very satisfying and filling and did t miss the spuds/chips/bread.

Irish potato bread is so easy to make. Half mash and half flour with seasoning. Fried on a hot pan/skillet. I fry mine in a drizzle olive oil and Irish butter. Fry until golden each side and hot in the middle. Serve with eggs, bacon, sausages and black pudding if you like it. Hearty, filling breakfast. Not exactly a cheat meal, but it's only Christmas once a year. Enjoy it.
