Friday fakeaway. A thing of great beauty. Naan base, tomato sauce - I just used a pasta sauce, topped with low fat cheese, pesto and sorry but not sorry, pineapple. Cooked in air fryer. 500 calories and half calories of a takeaway version.

My Saturday night fakeaway. 500 calories. Half calories of a takeaway version. This is an Angus quarter pounder in a sour dough bap. Burger was air fried with a garlic butter and chopped onion using a low fat spread and fresh garlic and onion. Burger bun stuffed with crunchy lettuce and tomato with low fat cream cheese. Burger sauce made with low fat mayo, ketchup, mustard, chopped gherkin and a splash of the gherkin pickle juice. To give it a wee kick, added a dash of peri peri sauce. Delicious 😋

12 week 12 kg loss challenge. Week 2 weigh in. Another kg in weight lost. 2 kg in 2 weeks. Still on track. Back to recording food tomorrow. Happy weekend.

12 week, 12 kilo loss. Week 2, day 5. For dinner it has to be a couple of chicken sandwiches. Used Brennan's good for you bread which is only 60 calories a slice. Two rounds chicken sarnies just 300 cals and all full up. One because I have a busy evening and two because I over consumed calorie targets on Saturday and Sunday. The remaining calories for the final 3 days of week 2 had to be shared so only 700 cals for each day left. I am beginning to see a cycle so I might calculate my weekly calories for next week so more calories for Saturday and Sunday and less week days as it's easier to stick to calories during the week. Total calories today, 700 calories. I would not recommend that low daily but just to balance the calorie intake for the overall week. Next two days will be same as today so will update on weigh day Friday to record weight loss and start of week 3.

12 week, 12 kg loss challenge. Day 4 lunch. Boiled potato, egg and baked bean bake, top with two slices low fat cheese. 100g boiled potato 90 calories, baked beans half tin 175 calories, egg 90 calories, sliced cheese 50 calories. Just over 400 calories.

Prep for next week's lunches. Large cottage pie made for four separate lunches for the week. Lean mince, onions, carrots and gravy topped with sliced boiled potatoes and baked to give a crunchy topping. Approx 400 calories per quarter portion. Could sprinkle low fat cheese on top to finish when reheating on lunch days. A full meal in one.

12 week, 12 kg loss. Week 2, day 3. It's Saturday so time for a fakeaway. Tonight it is pizza and fries. Home made fries. Just a potato chipped, rinsed, par boiled, refrigerated for a couple of hours, seasoned and air fried. 100 calories. Pizza was a greek style flatbread 213 calories. Lidl deluxe tomato and grilled pepper sauce 30 calories, light cheese 150 calories. Half pineapple ring 20 calories, (sorry if you arnt a pineapple on pizza believer but I am) half a peperami stick 50 calories, one mushroom 10 calories and one slice mozzarella ball 20 calories. Finished with a drizzle of pesto. . A pizza under 500 calories. 494 calories. Absolutely mind blowing delicious and filling. Dessert a high protein chocolate and caramel pudding. Just divine. 122 calories. Have to remind myself I am actually on a calorie deficit diet. I'm preferring this food now. Total calories for fakeaway and dessert 716 calories. Higher than a normal meal but alot less calories than a real takeaway. Happy weekend.

12 week, 12 kg loss challenge. Week 1 complete and 1 kg lost by committing to a calorie deficit and 16:8 intermittent fasting so definitely working. Week 2, day 2. Today's lunch. Baked potato 100 calories, half tin baked beans 175 calories, 2 medallions of smoked bacon sliced 50 calories, 1 slice low fat mature cheese chopped 56 calories, lettuce, spinach and tomato side salad with zero fat dressing and balsamic glaze 50 calories. Total meal = 441 calories.
