🎀 Little Update 🎀

I just wanted to share a quick update with what’s happening behind the scenes. 🥰

I’ve been working with Business Gateway with the hopes of obtaining a grant to get me started, however with moving, visiting family over Easter and raising a 9 month old, it’s not been a quick process.

I hoped to have enough equipment to run a taster session in May, this might have to be pushed back now but not for much longer 🤞🏼

Good news though, I have been working on my website.. here’s a little sneak peek 👀

Have you heard of Baby Massage before? 👶🏼

Baby massage offers so many wonderful benefits, from relaxation and soothing comfort to supporting your baby’s early development. It’s also a beautiful way to strengthen the bond between you and your baby.

Classes are suitable from around 6 weeks up to 6 months, or until your little one becomes more active and is on the move☺️

✨Baby Massage and Glow Sensory will both be available when we are open for business ✨

🌻 Hello 🌻

I thought it was about time I finally introduced myself🙋🏼‍♀️

My name is Margaret, or Maggie, and I am the owner of The Cub Club 🥰

I’m originally from the Isle of Barra however my heart was stolen by an Orcadian a few years ago and after having our baby boy last summer, we decided to make the move to our new home in Stromness🏡

We are super excited to get back to an island lifestyle and delighted that I’m able to bring something new to the community.

If you see me out and about please do say hello, hopefully I won’t be a stranger for too long☺️

🌈 Appreciation Post 🌈

Thank you so much to everyone that filled in the survey for me, I received over 50 responses and have now closed it.

Your answers will help when it comes to planning sessions, and to those that left comments and suggestions, I will definitely take these on board.

🌷🌻 Happy Spring 🌻🌷

Time is moving on quickly and it’s only a matter on months now until The Cub Club will be up and running!

Before officially starting sessions in August, I hope to run some trial sessions in June and July, not only for some families to try a session before committing to booking, but also for me to test the timings and space.

I have put together a short survey and your answers will help me create sessions that can cater for both the little ones and parent/caregivers needs. 📊

✨What’s the plan?✨

Whilst I am still only in the early stages of planning fun and interactive classes for your little ones, I thought I would share some details of what to expect when things are finally up and running!☺️

🌈 When? I plan on having a timetable and booking system in place over Summer with classes starting once the schools start back in August.

🌈 Where? To begin with, classes will be held in Stromness and Kirkwall, venue yet to be decided.

🌈 Who? Classes are for all babies and toddlers up to the age of 3. There will be different sessions for different age groups/abilities:

🐻 Bear Cubs - Newborn to pre crawling.
🐯 Tiger Cubs - Crawling to 18 months.
🦁 Lion Cubs - 18 months +.

These age groups are very adaptable depending on your little ones development, their nap times, or even if you’d like siblings to be in the same class.

✨ Introducing UV Glow Sensory ✨

🌈 Once I am up and running, the first class I plan on doing is a Glow Sensory Experience.

The sessions will consist of our class mascot taking us on magical adventures to places like.. Space🪐 Under the Sea🌊 or Into the Jungle🐒

🫧What are the benefits?🫧

These sensory exploration classes will not only stimulate your babies senses of touch, sight, hearing and smell but will also help refine their visual perception, spatial awareness and hand - eye coordination, and much much more.

🌸 What is ‘The Cub Club’?🌸

🌈 The Cub Club is a space for mums, dads, grandparents and all caregiver’s to connect with their little ones through fun and immersive development sessions - suitable from newborns to 3 years.

And not just that, it’s a space for parents and caregivers to connect and unwind. How do we plan on doing that?

☕️ We will always finish a class with time left for everyone to chat and enjoy a hot drink (maybe some home-baking🧁). A chance to maybe even make new friends.

📱We will have a WhatsApp group to share updates, pictures and tips and tricks for helping our little ones grow.

And so much more.

✨The Cub Club isn’t just a baby class, it’s a club and a community and I can’t wait for everyone to be part of it✨

Over the next few weeks I will share details of the types of classes that will be available for our cubs 🐯🦁🐻
