In my own postpartum, I had to say NO.

Even when it made me sick with guilt.

Even when it left me unsupported at a time I needed support the most.

As Maiden, I used people-pleasing to protect my ego.

As Mother, I have something far more sacred to protect — my daughter, and our legacy.

Raising a baby in isolation keeps a mother’s nervous system in a constant stress response. Being in circle with other women regulates it 🧡

We were never supposed to do this alone.

We were meant to be held, to hold each other, to share stories, sing songs, and be witnessed in our initiations.

I ached for this in my own postpartum. The absence of it made me feel like I was going insane.

But I wasn’t insane, I just needed another mother to look me in the eye and say:

“What you’re feeling is part of the initiation.”

That’s why I created the Postpartum Holding Circle.
a sanctuary for mothers in the first 6 months.
