We took two of those living with us to Buckfast Abbey, to enjoy the scenery and More...Fresh Air. The Abbey forms part of an active Benedictine Monastery at Buckfast.

Both the people who live with us are Roman Catholic, so this appeals to them both very much. The Abbey church is quite spectacular, with a mix of modern and medieval touches, and the Gardens are small and formal, but beautiful.

We learnt that the monastery is self-sufficient, much of its income comes from selling produce from the farm, which includes honey and the infamous Buckfast Tonic wine!

So far this week, we have done some exciting More...Movement seated exercises, and took part in our version of hungry hippos, where we had a lot of fun.

We also enjoyed a beautiful trip to Dawlish to see the home of the black swans, and drove past our sister home Claremont Manor. The people living with us had a lovely time!

We've had a lovely celebratory garden party here at Kings Manor!

The people living with us enjoyed being out in our beautiful garden, soaking up the sunshire and More...Fresh Air. Family and friends joined us for some lovely refreshments and delicious food. Everyone had a great time!

We took some of the lovely people living with us crabbing for National Marine Week!

We went to Exmouth Harbour and caught some crabs and snails.
We were also lucky enough to see a seal, but unfortunately it was too quick for us to take a photo. Everyone had a great time enjoying More...Fresh Air and More...Socialising!

The start of National Marine Week, we visited Seaton Beach, where we had a morning of learning about sea life, creatures, and where we might see them.

We had a visit to our local Lifeboat station, enjoyed a tour, and were lucky enough to see the lifeboat out on a practice session.

We also took some of the people living with us out to our local farm shop to taste freshly caught fish from the farms own fishermen. Everyone had a great time!

Our Gentleman's Club had to put their heads together this week to assemble a doodling robot - there were no instructions...

Our Gentleman's Club had to put their heads together this week to assemble a doodling robot - there were no instructions!

We were all excited when it worked! And our ever popular Word Game taxed our grey matter, yielding over 350 new words from the word Accomplished. Everyone had a lovely time.

We went and visited all the people who live with us, taking round some delicious fresh fruit, to make fresh fruit kebabs...

We were so lucky to have our local Otter Vale brass band in today.
we held the concert in the Garden so all the residents could enjoy it. Some looked out the bedroom windows some stayed in the dining rooms looking out the windows.
Some braved the weather and joined the band in the Garden.
Everyone had smiles and enjoyed the Band very much.

We decided to clean up the time capsule area in our beautiful garden!

The Gentleman's Club made a sign, and the ladies decorated and refreshed some of the stones during our More...Creativity sessions.
