The boss is still in hospital - been in now a month 2 weeks Leicester and 3 at Sheffield. Few tests to do tomorrow fonherw crossed they see something🤞🏻

Fed up - and just wants to be a little more normal and live a little, not much to ask for is it. Had one of those docs that doesn’t listen and knows it all! Just a little compassion is all that’s asked. Another one that has listened and had lots of empathy and now the tests tomorrow hes requested - so see what Monday brings!

So since her surgery for adhesions removing - Angela has been home and went back to Leicester with pains like before. After the surgery she had a good two weeks feeling good, looking better and putting weight on. She then laid ont the bed and turned over and felt her stomach move inside, like it flipped she described it has. The pain and feeling came back! We went to Leicester and scans were completed and then she was told these are all ok so you just need to go home and recover… a night at home last night and now she’s back in Sheffield after the GP was not happy with how she looked, felt and her pains.

She’s not in a good place after feeling brilliant and now getting the pains again- we are trying to think if it can be good for a few weeks then something is stopping it and causing this pain - two routes, bowel/intestines or ovaries for me. Thanks for all the well wishes from surgery it means a lot. We will focus on the future and continue to hope we can get her better than she is at some point … because it can happen as it did after the surgery.

Your messages do get seen and are appreciated by us all - tomorrow is a new day and a new day to be positive💪🏻

Have a super day yourselves ❤️

Angela is back in hospital - she had a lot of pain yesterday morning and couldn’t cope at home so had to take her to A&E, luckily she was told to go back to the ward at the hosptial that did her operation. She was admitted and scanned. She’s waiting to see the doctors this morning now. Not the best news, but hey oh we keep smiling. On more brighter news that made the negative a positive was McKenzie passed her driving test yesterday 💜

Another scar to add to the collection - another to prove she wasn’t right coming out of Oxford!

Still soldiering on and hopeful of better days ahead!

Gave her evening off though as a mark of respect - back to ironing tomorrow though for her! It’s a huge pile she’s built up 😉😎❤️💜

A vision of love - brushing her teeth in a bed pan 🤣 when you have to improvise because you’re hooked up to various machines, you have to be clever … 10/10 for this one! And how many zoomed in to check it was a tooth brush and not a spoon and soup ❤️

Been a while - am hernia op and a number of stints in hospital. In after having another war wound to the collection - stomach lining taken away from abdominal organs now! 3 hour later she’s recovering and fingers crossed we have better outcomes than we have. Heard nothing from Oxford - been left to fend for ourselves 🤨

Been a while!

In the past few weeks we have had a video call with Oxford and Dr Silva regarding issues we have had with them and how Angela is.

It was a positive call and was greet to be able to get things off our chest and inform them of how we feel. There were acknowledgements about the things we highlighted and apologises made for how things had panned out. This is all we wanted from them to accept that more should have been done after Angela left in December. We are going to have a regular meeting now every 4-6 weeks to ensure there are no issues and that we can get in touch if we desperately need to.

Angela has had a bumpy few days - it’s her cycle and things have always seemed different around them. She is still on her egg and gluten free, wheat free and milk free bread ... which she seems to be able to tolerate this, a positive. She is however having a strange feeling of breathlessness and feeling weak, researching it pointed towards her potassium levels so yesterday we was at A&E for her bloods doing. In all these years she was in, seen and home before dinner lol. All was fine, but the doctor did say he thought it could be her islet cells not working properly but he wasn’t experienced in this area and surgery so encouraged Angela to call Oxford to let them know. Angela decided to take 2 units of insulin because it’s all started since she came off it ... we shall see what happens.

Hope you are all well yourselves

Hey all it’s been a while.

Thought I would check in and give you an update on Angela and how things are. It does seem any post is doom and gloom and yet still there is no positivity to share. Angela has been up and down with pain and no medication now can get on top of it like it used to. We are still yet to hear from a doctor to talk us through her food study back in December (23rd I think?) we have had contact from Jenny twice due to the email we sent and we have a video call set up for next week to go through our second email, concerns and whatever else it throws up. Next week will be coming up to 2 month since we left Oxford, sorry, since we were pushed out and sent home to fend for ourself. We have had to talk to our GP, who is disgusted at the situation and has now sorted out a dietitian - whom Angela will be having a call with in the coming weeks. We have held off other avenues till we can see them face to face but intend to pursue something to hopefully get help/answers.

During this time her pain has been linked heavily to eating and this again points to Gastroparesis that I originally questioned back in December with Dr Silva, which was rubbished. She is finding out foods that she feels can help with the pain, but she is never free of it and this new illness, when it’s diagnosed, is never going to go away! Diet and meds are the only option, so we have taken it upon ourselves to start to monitor and eat recommended foods. Her weight has dropped, but has slowed down and fingers crossed seems to be levelling out... another indication of GP. Her hair is still falling out, but isn’t as bad as the time in Manchester although it could go to that - we have found her wig ready for when it does. She has been trying to get out and walk, the best she can, because this is also something that helps GP. We are in Facebook groups and research and reading around the illness is deepening our knowledge and understanding.

We continue our journey, a journey where we’ve traded one illness for another - this wasn’t the plan and is upsetting; however, as most know we put on that smile and keeping looking forward the best we can.

I hope all our followers are safe and well. The ending to all this seems to keep coming up and then whizzing out of site. In the future we will talk about these tough days as those during the wars did and hopefully make the world a better place for our children’s children to live. The struggles have been hard and all I ask you to think upon in these times, is the special memories we can hopefully take from spending more time than ever with loved ones. Thinking of all that have lost in these times too and those on their own - reach out and make sure family and friends are well.

Stay safe, will inform you all once we’ve had the call
Till then - good night and god bless to our UK followers and a good morning to the followers over the pond.
💜💙
