🔍 Clinical Insight: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Diagnosis 🔍

Consider IBS in patients presenting with any ABC symptoms—abdominal pain, bloating, or changes in bowel habits—for 6 months.

📌 Diagnostic Criteria:

Abdominal pain relieved by defecation or associated with altered bowel frequency/form
PLUS at least two of the following:
Altered stool passage
Abdominal bloating/distension/tension/hardness
Symptoms exacerbated by eating
Mucus PR
Ensure differentials are ruled out.

Associated Symptoms: Lethargy, nausea, back pain, headache, dyspareunia, faecal incontinence, urinary symptoms.

Stay vigilant and consider these criteria in your differential diagnoses.
