Somatic Embodiment — it’s an invitation to move beyond the mind and into the wisdom of your body and heart.

Somatic Embodiment is a deeply nourishing class where, through intuitive movement, somatics and slow down, we gently support:
• nervous system & emotional regulation
• inner safety, joy, and wholeness
• mind-body symptoms healing

Each class is different and guided by what the body needs in the moment. Practices may include somatic healing, intuitive movement, yoga nidra and restorative yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, tai chi, and mind–body vagus nerve practices — all offered in a trauma-informed, accessible, and inclusive way.

This work is deeply personal to me.
Somatic embodiment has been one of the most sacred spaces in my own life — a place to allow, heal, love, and rewire. It supported me in healing mind–body symptoms and learning to trust my body as a source of wisdom rather than something to fix or push.

My journey of healing fibromyalgia and over 20 other health symptoms began with a desire to ease pain and improve my health — but over time, it became so much more.

It became a journey of coming home to myself — learning to listen deeply, trust my heart, and live in alignment with who I truly am.

Through somatic practices and nervous system regulation, I found a freedom that went far beyond symptom relief. Authenticity became a central part of this process — a journey into the wisdom of my heart through inquiry, expression, and self-discovery.

This is what inspired me to create the Somatic & Creative Art Workshop with Lisa Bloome — a space where movement, expression, and creativity meet nervous system healing and authenticity. A space to explore, feel, and reconnect with your body’s wisdom through art and somatic release.

Hi! I’m Sara, an Integrative Mind-Body Practitioner specialising in chronic pain and persisting health symptoms. My wellness journey began 10 years ago after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Through my healing process, I became a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, and Mindfulness CBT coach, and eventually focused more on somatic healing and mind-body syndrome practices.

Meditation is my non-negotiable daily practice, grounding me in life and supporting my personal growth. Mindfulness is integrated in all aspects of my teachings 💫

Having personally healed my chronic pain and long-lasting anxiety, my mission is to help others find lasting freedom from pain and life’s struggles by combining both scientific and holistic methods. I graduated in Biomedical Sciences back in Portugal, and that is why science as much as holistic approaches are close to my heart.

What reasons do you give to ensure you put yourself at the bottom of the list? Too tired? No time? Can't afford it?

A longevity study into 'reasons people can't' showed that whilst all of the above may be true in some ways, the deciding factor in things actually happening was how much we prioritise them. So when we say, I have no time, are we really saying, 'I don't prioritise that for my time?'

When it comes to self care, what are your needs? How are you meeting them? How are you prioritising them?

Sometimes we need to immerse ourselves in deeper nourishment and Autumn is the ideal time to slow down and fall into ourselves a little more.
