Birth is a big physical event for babies, even when everything goes smoothly. Some babies may develop areas of tension or discomfort that can affect feeding, sleep, or how settled they feel.
Following an individual assessment, parents may seek osteopathic care for babies experiencing:

✨ Feeding or latching difficulties
✨ Symptoms of reflux or wind
✨ Colic-type symptoms or unsettled behaviour
✨ Head preference or flat spots
✨ General tension or stiffness

Appointments are gentle, baby-led, and adapted to each child’s needs.

What happens at your first osteopath appointment?

I start with a detailed case history, then assess posture, movement and joint mobility.

Relevant orthopaedic and neurological tests are performed, along with soft tissue and functional assessment where appropriate.

Your findings and diagnosis are explained clearly, followed,if suitable, by hands-on osteopathic treatment. This may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, stretching, and gentle articulation.

You’ll also leave with tailored advice and exercises to support your recovery between appointments.

Each of these benefits comes straight from the principles of osteopathy:
🦴 The body is a unit — pain and mobility issues rarely exist in isolation.
✨ Structure governs function — when joints and tissues move well, you feel well.
💛 The body self-heals — osteopathic treatment simply supports what your body is already capable of.

What is osteopathy?

Sharing the “why” behind what I do is one of my favourite parts of this job. The more we understand our bodies, the better we can care for them. Here’s to educating, empowering, and bringing more awareness to the world of osteopathy.

So excited to introduce myself here 👋✨

I’m Mia, an osteopath working across Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire.

I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel better and understand their bodies. With a background in biochemistry, I love blending hands-on treatment with a science-led approach to support long-term wellbeing.

Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me staying active, baking something sweet, or exploring new places. Looking forward to sharing more and connecting with you all.
