✨ Confidence isn’t loud — it’s being comfortable in your own skin.

It’s not about strutting into the gym like you own it

It’s about knowing you belong there, even if you’re still figuring things out.

📊 Did you know?
The UK Chief Medical Officer recommends that all adults do strength training at least 2x per week.
But… less than 5% of women actually do.
And for those of us over 40? The numbers drop even lower.

💪🏻 Why does it matter?

Because as we age, we naturally lose muscle and bone density – but we don’t have to accept that decline because strength training helps us:
– 🏋️‍♀️ Build & maintain muscle
– 🦴 Support bone health
– 🔥 Boost metabolism
– 🧘‍♀️ Improve balance, mood & confidence

🪞This isn’t about chasing aesthetics, as much as all of us want to look good naked (and let’s be honest about that). It’s about choosing strength, independence, and energy — now and for the future.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Nervous in the weights area?
You’re not alone. Confidence grows through action, not by waiting until you “feel ready.”
Just start — and if you’re not sure how, I’m always happy to chat.

👀So if you’re over 40 and lifting weights? I see you.

🕰️ And if you’re just getting started? You’re not too late — you’re right on time.

👇🏻Drop your favourite lift in the comments if you’re strength training too! Let’s show the stats a different story.

Continuing the theme of reintroductions, here are 10 essential things you need to know about me:

💪🏻 I’m fiercely passionate about showing women that lifting won’t make you bulky — but it will give you the shape, strength & confidence you’re probably chasing.

🫵🏻 I don’t believe fitness has to be all or nothing → it has to work for you.

🥤 I think creatine should come free with your gym membership (seriously, take it — for your body & your mind).

🧡 Cinnamon bun Sundays are a thing.

🫣 I have a thing for matching gym outfits. No shame.
☯️ Mat is my yang, for forever.

🍋 I make a banging lemon drizzle cake (just ask Mat).

🤳 I absolutely will celebrate your sweaty selfies and gym win

☕ I only drink coffee before midday — but I make those cups count.

❄️ Ask me to choose between a beach in the summer or a mountain holiday in winter, and I’ll pick the mountains every time — bonus points if there’s a sauna & hot tub.

Now you know a little more about me — your turn. Drop something essential about you in the comments.

👋🏻 Hey thought I’d pop on my grid and reintroduce myself properly because let’s face it, my stories are all gym, food, and the chaos of having children.

I’m Liv — PT, Sports Therapist, mum of 3, bodybuilder, lover of carbs, lifter of heavy things… and pretty good at organising a life that sometimes feels like herding cats.

🤷🏻‍♀️ What do I actually do? I help people feel good in their skin, get fit and LIVE fit — through strength training, education, a little tough love and a lot of laughs. My clients? They’re real people. Parents. Busy workers. People who want to feel stronger, more confident & more capable — in and out of the gym.

📖 But my story didn’t start here… I wasn’t always into fitness.

🚨Spoiler: I didn’t grow up sporty. I wasn’t always in the gym. I was just a tired mum who wanted to feel a bit better in her own skin

🩰 I started when my daughter was 1 — with a weekly ballet class, which progressed to bodyweight exercises at home. I added some tiny dumbbells to my routine, but soon found I needed something heavier — and that’s when I started going to the gym.

🏋🏻‍♀️ And somewhere along the way I retrained and began a whole new career in fitness and lifting became my hobby, my happy place, my thing. And now I help other people find their thing too.

🕰️ I’ve now been in the industry 8 years… but trust me, this didn’t happen overnight. As I always tell my clients → you can’t Amazon Prime your results

🏠 Outside the gym? You’ll find me in the kitchen cooking from scratch (because what goes in the tank matters). When I’m not cooking up a storm with the air fryers, I’m mum-ing 3 brilliantly bright but bonkers kids — and navigating life with an AuADHD teen

🐕 And if I’m not doing any of that?I’m probably out walking the wolf (our dog) in search of my next coffee and a great cinnamon bun.

💡 One last thought from me; being strong in the gym (be it my garage or a commercial one), means I can be stronger everywhere else. Health really is wealth.

👇 If you read this far…say hi in the comments or drop your fave carb emoji if you’re also fuelled by coffee & carbs like me.

💐Spring is finally here; and so is marathon season!

📆As well as all the big races there are also plenty of half marathons and 10k events happening.

👟 If you are running in a race this month (or next) make sure you book your pre and/or post event session NOW to avoid disappointment as I have few spaces left in my diary.

This is my garage gym; the space that I have created for my clients. It’s a place where bodies and mindsets are challenged and changed.

If you come into my garage gym you can expect to work hard, have the occasional giggle, to grind to get strong, and then hopefully leave with a grin on your face because you feel a step closer to your goal; what ever that is. 🏆

My garage gym is a safe space for my clients to build their confidence and their strength…but in all honesty it’s a bit on the gritty side. 🧱

So I am excited to share that over the next few months my garage gym is going to undergo its own transformation process and I look forward to showing you the improvements. 🪚🪜🔨

Reintroducing myself as Liv;
💪🏼 strength coach
🏋🏻‍♀️ personal trainer
🙌🏻 sports therapist
🩻 rehab specialist
🏆Miss Athletic; 4th in the World

4th place Miss Athletic
World finals 🌏

The goal at the beginning of the season was to beat her best 2022 physique at the first show.
Well, we safely did that and didn't stop improving all season.

This huge improvement was not simply a better year on diet. It was due to all the work that went into building a better physique in the off-season.
The uncomfortable food increases
The getting used to eating in a surplus
The not liking how you look
The hard training sessions
And the trust 🙌🏼

The trust in the process and in me.
I could see what was being built, and I could see that 2024 was going to show a VERY different physique.

We set goals
We smashed them and created more

None of this is possible with the mindset of a champion.
How you conduct yourself will dictate how far you can take your physique.

, and I kept telling Liv this. And she reached it every time.
That 4th in the world sounds bloody good. but she has got more ☺️
It's time to recover from an epic season
And build for the next.

Why do I train? 🏋🏻‍♀️

I could give so many answers to this; but today I am going to just give one reason ☝🏻

What I do in the gym allows me to do immeasurably more outside of the gym ⛷️

However it seems that what ever I do, the pokey out tongue of concentration/focus is there 🤣
