Over the years there have been a lot of mirror selfies in that studio.

Different seasons. Different phases. Different versions of me.

Some were taken mid-prep. Some during injury. Some when life felt steady. Some when it absolutely didn’t.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll have seen the changes. Not just physically, but in confidence, direction and clarity.

Tonight I taught my penultimate LBT class.

And standing there looking around the room, I realised how many moments have quietly passed inside those walls.

Over the past week people have said things like
“I don’t know what we’ll do without you.”
“This is the only class I come to.”
“Thank you for always making it fun.”
“You’ve kept me feeling young.”

Those words mean more than you probably realise.

Teaching has never just been about exercise for me. It has always been about people. About shared energy. About creating a space where, everyone shows up exactly as they are and leaves feeling a little stronger…even if they do struggle to get down the stairs m.

There is one class left.

And I have a feeling it’s going to be a special one.

I recorded this back at the start of the year and it makes me so proud to now say that the gym is now built and open 🙌🏻

However, the less said about the dancing…the better 🤣

Hello to the new faces here 👋🏻

Over the past week quite a few new people have started following LivFit, so it feels like a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Liv, the coach behind LivFit, now based at Studio 22 here in Abingdon.

Since opening the studio, a question has come up a few times that I really wanted to address.

Studio 22 isn’t a gym where people come to train on their own. It’s a private coaching space where I work with my clients one to one.💪🏻

The studio was built to be a calm, focused environment where people can train properly without the noise, pressure or intimidation that some people feel in big commercial gyms.

My coaching specialises in:

🏋️‍♀️ Strength and conditioning: Building real life strength and sustainable habits that support everyday life.

🦴 Exercise rehabilitation after injury: Helping people rebuild strength, confidence and trust in their bodies.

💉 Supporting people using GLP 1 medications: Making sure weight loss happens alongside proper strength training so muscle, mobility and long term health are protected.

Most of the people I work with are busy adults navigating real lives that have to balance careers, families, injuries, changing bodies and shifting priorities.

Strength training does not remove those things, but it does make you far more capable of handling them.

If you are local to Abingdon and curious about working together, feel free to send me a message 📩

This morning someone stopped me in the gym and said, “I saw your last post. I don’t actually know what Studio 22 is… but what you’ve done in that room (👉🏻pointing towards where the studio is next door ) is magic. You’ve been such an inspiration. I wish you all the best.”

I thanked him, swallowed the lump in my throat, and carried on to train my morning client.

But it made me realise something…

I’ve told you about stepping away from teaching, shared the build on my personal socials, and been hinting over the past few months that changes were coming. At home, I’ve been living and breathing and planning this next chapter. But I haven’t properly announced it here.

That’s on me.

Studio 22 isn’t just a cabin. It isn’t just new kit arriving in boxes. It isn’t just a “home gym.”

It’s a space I’ve built intentionally.

After eight years of teaching in various school halls and different studio spaces, and training people in all sorts of gyms, I knew exactly what I wanted a room to feel like. Calm. Focused. Personal. A space where strength isn’t performative, it’s practised. Where confidence is built quietly. Where people don’t feel watched, judged or rushed.

It’s my training space, yes. But it’s also a space I intend to share. With people navigating new chapters of their own injury, post-natal recovery, menopause, GLP-1 use, managing stress, or simply those transitions and shifts that happen when life gets busy and we’re just trying to adult well. With people who want to get stronger without the noise.

Studio 22 is the next step. Not bigger for the sake of it. Just more aligned.

And if you’ve been wondering what it is while watching the posts unfold… this is it.

I’m building something special.

Launch details coming soon.

Last night I shared with my Wednesday evening class that I’ll be stepping away from teaching at Abingdon Sport and Leisure as of the 18th of March.

Over the last eight years I’ve taught PiYo, circuits, HIIT, outdoor bootcamp, HIIT Step (Transform20), AAA and LBT. I’ve taught in packed rooms and quieter ones, in golden summer light pouring through those windows and on dark winter evenings when we all needed to move more than we realised.

I’ve taught through some questionable colour choices of leggings, music glitches and failed air-conditioning and, of course, through Covid( when the studio became a laptop screen and we figured it out together from our living rooms and gardens.

Over the years, members have seen my physique change as I’ve prepped for competitions, watched my confidence grow, and seen me come back from injury more than once. They’ve heard about ski holidays, family chaos and the in-between bits of life that inevitably get shared when you see each other week after week.

What many may not realise is that teaching kept me steady during some of the hardest chapters too. Through my gran’s fight with cancer, my own divorce, and my battle to have my child’s needs properly met at school, that room gave me structure, purpose and somewhere to channel my energy when everything else felt uncertain.

That studio taught me how to coach properly. It taught me how to hold a room, read energy, adapt on the fly and lead even when I didn’t feel one hundred percent myself. It has shaped me more than most people will ever know.

But it is time to step into a new space. Studio 22 is now built, and it’s the right time for me to focus more of my energy there and make way for other instructors. This decision hasn’t been rushed, and it hasn’t been easy, but it feels aligned with my next chapter.

To everyone who has stepped onto a mat with me over the years, thank you. For showing up. For trusting me. For growing alongside me.

We have a few Wednesday evenings left. Let’s make them count.

They say a picture paints a thousand words which is a good job, because for once I don’t really have any today. (It’s rare but it happens)

Today I’m tired. Not burnt out. Not unmotivated. Just tired… because I’m human.

And thankfully, this picture does the explaining anyway: the juggling of mumming, coaching, training, competing, working, and trying to keep all the plates spinning.

All fuelled by a little coffee and plenty of carbs ☕️ 🥐

And even on days like this, I’m here helping other people learn how to be properly fuelled and feel strong in bodies that have to live real, busy lives.

If that sounds like something you need too, drop me a message and we’ll have a coffee and a chat about how I can help.

Hello 2026 👋🏻
And hello to anyone new around here.

I’m Liv, a strength coach and sports massage therapist with over 8 years’ experience in the exercise industry. I’m also a mum to three teens and tweens.

I’m someone who didn’t start strong, but built strength over time, in the gym and in life.

I help people who want to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in their bodies. Not just for aesthetics, but for real life. For busy lives and demanding jobs. For hormone changes, injuries, niggly joints, and wavering confidence.

I offer support that actually fits around them, rather than forcing themselves to fit into someone else’s plan.

I’m big on doing things properly. Training with intent, fuelling enough, and playing the long game. No extremes, no nonsense, and no shrinking yourself to meet someone else’s idea of what “healthy” should look like.

Over the next few months you’ll find me
💪🏻 Working with a small number of 1:1 personal training clients
💆🏼‍♀️ Offering sports massage
🏋🏻‍♀️ Teaching LBT on Wednesdays
📲 Running an 8 week online coaching block with Aaron Formby
✍🏻 Spending time putting pen to paper and shaping something I’ll share soon
🚧 Not so quietly building something new behind the scenes

This page will be a mix of training, education, honesty, progress, and real life. If you are here to learn, to feel encouraged, or to figure out how strength could fit into your life, you are very welcome here.

Thanks for being here.

Stepping into 2026 with a lot of gratitude.

Thank you to every single client who trained with me this year, came to a class, booked in for treatment, or trusted me with their time, effort and progress. Whether you were here weekly or just for a short chapter, I appreciate you more than you know.

If you’ve enjoyed training, classes or treatments with me this year and have a moment, reviews really do help a small business like mine. You can leave one here on Facebook or on Google via this link:

I hope you all have a wonderful end to the year and get a chance to rest, reset and enjoy the festive period.

I’ll see my gym clients back from 5th January and classes resume in the studio from 7th January.

If you’re looking to kick off 2026 with structure, support and momentum, you can still sign up to the New Year Kickstart I’m running with Aaron Formby. Just drop me a message to get the link 🔗

Here’s to a strong, confident year ahead for my clients and for me 💪🏻

Right… this feels pretty special 🤍💪

Aaron and I are launching a New Year Kickstart for 2026, and it’s genuinely something we’ve talked about for a long time.

Between us, we bring 20+ years of coaching experience, and this isn’t about quick fixes or January extremes. It’s about starting the year with clarity, structure, and momentum you can actually maintain.

Over the 8 weeks, you’ll be supported with:

• A structured 8-week training plan, written by us
• Options to focus on strength, conditioning, or a hybrid of both
• Training hosted on the EverFit app — no PDFs, no spreadsheets, everything in one place
• Full calorie and macronutrient guidance, tailored to your goal

Whether you want to:
💪 get stronger
🔥 build muscle and shape
🏃‍♀️ improve fitness and conditioning
✨ or simply feel more confident and capable in the gym

We’ve got you covered.

You’ll also get access to high-protein recipe resources, because training works best when it’s properly fuelled.

Communication will be via a WhatsApp community, designed to be supportive, motivating, and positive — the kind of space that helps you stay consistent when life gets busy.

Our aim is simple:
You finish the 8 weeks stronger, fitter, more confident, and with the tools to keep going long after January.

Beginner, intermediate, or advanced — this is built to work for real people with real lives.

📅 We start Monday 5th January
📩 To join the priority list or ask any questions, just DM “Kickstart” to me or Aaron.

Spaces will be limited.

If you’re ready to start 2026 properly — not perfectly — this might be for you 🤍💪

👐🏻It’s been a busy Treatment Tuesday after the Abingdon Marathon — lots of tired legs enjoying well-earned recovery time!

But as we head into the colder months and coughs, colds (and covid) start doing the rounds, please remember 👇🏻

❌ If you’re feeling under the weather — coughing, blowing your nose, on antibiotics, or recovering from any kind of infection — please reschedule your appointment.

Whether it’s with me or another therapist, it’s the right thing to do. 👍🏻

Here’s why:

1️⃣ Massage will actually make you feel worse — it speeds up circulation and can spread infection faster.
2️⃣ It’s unfair on the next person coming in — many clients are post-surgery or have compromised immune systems.
3️⃣ And finally, it’s considerate to your therapist (hi 👋🏻) — self-employed and hands-on, which means no sick pay and no treatments if I catch your cold!

Let’s all look after ourselves and each other this winter

🔦Client Spotlight — From Abingdon to Spain 🇪🇸

✉️Every now and then, a message pops up that truly makes your day. This one came from a client I coached a few years ago, who has since moved back to Spain — and just look at her now 👏🏻

After taking some time away (because life happens!), she found her way back to training, reconnected with that feeling of strength and confidence, and even made it onto the podium at her local gym games! 🥈🔥

🫶🏻I absolutely love that she still keeps in touch — and it honestly means so much that she continues to follow along, cheering on my progress from afar. It’s such an honour to see her thriving and continuing to put in the work.

🔥 Because here’s the truth — strength doesn’t just change how you look…it changes how you show up for yourself.

It builds confidence, capability, and an unstoppable energy that carries into every part of life.
