My home village, with one of the most gifted guitar botherers I’ve ever witnessed… I will definitely try to be there for this, although I have been saying this for a while now. Had him at the Acoustic Festival years ago, I’ve never seen an audience so entranced. Verging on the mystical. Unmissable.

Aziz Ibrahim eclectic body of work spans from THE STONE ROSES, IAN BROWN, SIMPLY RED and ASIA. His solo performance is a guitar fest of Electronic Dance Music with South Asian & Mancunian influence. Expect original music from this 'Desi Guitar' maestro coupled with beat driven 'Bombai mixes' of iconic songs & music from groups Ibrahim had a part in or were a big influence.
An influential guitarist, singer and songwriter from Manchester, Aziz has written and staged South Asian symphonies for the Manchester Camerata and worked in prisons, homeless shelters, charities and has done other community work. He has had chart success with Ian Brown, co-writing songs such as My Star & Corpses, plus delivered guitars, vocals & songs for PAUL WELLER.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, the Longsight council estate born guitarist has played or written for artists such as Simply Red, Paul Weller, Manic St Preachers, Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke of The Smiths, folk singer Donovan, UK rapper Akala and progressive rock musicians Asia, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Marillion, Yukihiro Takahashi (Yellow Magic Orchestra) and JBK (Japan).
Aziz founded the Asian Blues Collective with Tabla maestro Dalbir Singh Rattan in developing his own unique south Asian instrument influenced sound. His present instrumental release on all platforms is 'The Key Of 3'. Currently Aziz is recording an EP for Brazilian superstar Nasi and releasing his next single ‘FlaManco’.
