Group Offer 🏆 Get your yard together for a group treatment this summer

£35 per horse for a 1 hour session when groups of 2-6 horses at the same yard book a group session together!

These group sessions have been popular lately, book in before the limited slots available in end of July and August go! ☀️

Offering discounted group sessions is a great way for new clients to experience my work firsthand. As a former horse owner, I understand how daunting it can be to trust someone new with your horse, especially when you're not sure what level of service they provide. With these group sessions, your horse will receive the same thorough assessment, personalised treatment, and detailed post-treatment report, along with exercise recommendations, just at a reduced group price.

📲 To enquire, contact Ella on 07341446911 or alternatively email championequinetherapy@outlook.com

Saturday morning sessions 🌞

Treated some lovely horses this morning, incorporating my new modality within the sessions to optimise treatment outcome.

I used a combination of LLLT and PEMFT to assist in reducing pain and inflammation of a lateral splint which has been causing much discomfort, as well as being used to increase microcirculation and blood within muscle tissue, reduce pain and muscular hypertension.

All treatments are individualised to your horse and their requirements, working as part of the multidisciplinary team for best patient outcomes.

To book, don’t hesitate to contact .equine.therapy on 07341446911 or privately through message 📲

🧲⚡️Excited to now offer Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT) and Red Light LLLT (Photobiomodulation) alongside existing myofascial and manual bodywork treatments for my clients

Red Light LLLT is a non-invasive modality which stimulates cellular activity within tissues, subsequently increasing mitochondrial function and production of ATP (cellular energy). Physiologically, this enhances tissue repair, reduces inflammation and provides pain relief.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT) is a non-invasive modality which delivers targeted electromagnetic pulses at cellular level frequencies, enhancing ion exchange and stimulating cellular metabolism. This promotes increased blood circulation, improved tissue oxygenation, and accelerated repair of soft tissues, tendons, and bone.

Both modalities can be used simultaneously to help treat a variety of conditions such as:

🔹Suspensory Desmitis / Tendonitis
🔹Osteoarthritis
🔹Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction and Pain
🔹Tendon, Ligament and Muscle Strains
🔹Muscular Pain, Trigger Points and 🔹Hypertonicity
🔹Fractures and Bone Healing
🔹Nerve Pain
🔹Inflammation
🔹Laminitis
🔹Bruised Hoof
🔹Oedema Reduction
🔹Haematoma Reduction
🔹Delayed or Chronic Non-Healing Wounds
🔹Superficial and Deep Wound Healing
🔹Post-Surgical Recovery and Incisions
🔹Kissing Spines (ORDSP)
🔹General Performance Maintenance
🔹Splints
🔹Acute and Chronic Pain

Unfortunately Facebook does not allow me to change elements of my business profile, and due to the progressive learning and qualifications I am gaining, I find Instagram a better media platform to connect with my clients and other veterinary professionals. I will still be active on FB, however will have a higher activity on IG. Follow if you have an account to keep upto date on new and exciting treatments I will be offering soon! 🤫⚡️

Thanks for the understanding,

Voske enjoying some post-treatment rehabilitation work on balance pads ⚖️

After each physio session with me, your horse will be prescribed a remedial exercise and custom rehabilitation programme, tailored to your horse’s needs. Completion of these exercises between sessions will enhance overall musculoskeletal function, strength and improve posture.

Voske makes it look easy, but you would be surprised now many horses struggle to stand for even seconds on these pads!

Benefits include:

• Enhanced proprioception
• Weight shifting
• Targeted muscular engagement
• Improved core stability and dorsoventral chain strength
• Enhanced gait symmetry
• Improved flexibility and joint range of motion

*please note do not attempt to perform on your own without full veterinary physiotherapy assessment prior. Contraindications with certain pathologies may mean your horse is not suitable for this type of exercise - other exercises with similar benefits can be prescribed under professional advice instead*

🌟Let’s talk Subclavius…🌟

A muscle I commonly treat for restriction and one which you can test on your own horses.

Horses are typically cranially loading, meaning 60% of a horses weight is carried through its forelimbs. Any muscular dysfunction within the thoracic sling (neck & shoulder) or through the forelimbs can be highly detrimental to the body functioning as a whole and as a result, will negatively affect performance.

The Subclavius is situated along the cranial border of the scapula. Its main function is to stabilize the shoulder joint and support the trunk of the horse. Hypertonicity (muscle tension) within the thoracic sling may cause muscular imbalance and result in your horse riding ‘on the forehand’.

Training your eye and palpation skills as a horse owner is important in recognising when your horse requires a professional bodywork treatment.

Here’s what to test for 👇

▪️ Place your palm flat against the neck, in front of the cranial scapula border, can you run your hand under the scapula between it and the horse’s neck, or is the muscle ‘blocking’ your hand from doing so?

If there is dysfunction within the thoracic sling then your horse will benefit from a soft tissue therapy treatment with me to reduce muscular hypertonicity.
