On Saturday my good friend Jodie and I braved the torrential rain to compete in the Dartmoor Discovery Ultra Marathon. 32 miles of road running - my favourite, with some big hills- not my favourite, and beautiful scenery. To say we were soaked is an understatement but luckily our trainers will dry out ready for another day.

What a lovely weekend in Rome for the 30th anniversary of Rome marathon. Such a beautiful route around a beautiful city.

Yesterday Louise and I headed to the Eden Project Marathon to celebrate my birthday. To say it was hilly feels like an understatement after using all our energy just trying not slip over in the boggy woods. It was kind of fun, yet tiring and a massive wake up call to how unfit I really am. I have 3 months to get my arse into gear and get ready for The Arc to Attrition in January, a race even I cannot wing!!

I haven’t posted about a race for a while, mainly because I haven’t been doing any …… but on Sunday I decided to kick start my distance running again with a marathon in Barnstaple with Louise. It was a windy and boring course but together we managed to keep our spirits up and almost enjoy it!

Which means I won’t be answering messages or calls for the coming week. I’m off to give these hands some well earned R&R...

It was a real family affair for my clients at the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday. Anna and Simon, and Anna’s daughter Katie and her fiancé Liam, spent their Saturday mornings training together, supporting each other to the start line. Sadly Simon got injured just weeks before and was unable to run, but he cheered them all to triumph at the finish line!! 🥳 Some impressive times and massive achievements for them all! 🥂I’m so proud, and happy that I could be part of their journey.

With taking time out to study, and the recent increase in clients. (Thanks to all of you fabulous people spreading the word!! 🥳) I haven’t always been able to see people as quickly as I would have liked. So I have had a little shuffle with my time, and I can now offer some afternoon appointments to compensate for my alternate Thursdays off. 👩‍🎓📖

This day is finally here and I am so excited to say I will be closing for the holidays. It’s been a busy year for me, with work, a few races and studying too. I’m looking forward to a rest!
So once again I thank you all for your business, loyalty and support. Not only do you keep me in business, but you all make my work so enjoyable.

They say you should surround yourself with people who inspire you, people who encourage you and make you want to be better. This beautiful lady to me is exactly that - in life and in running. Her determination to achieve her goals inspires me daily and I am immensely proud to be her friend.
