Our December Employees of the Month are Shweta and Dawn, and we are so pleased to recognise them both.

Shweta has been chosen for always supporting her colleagues and going above and beyond for our residents. She is consistently kind, reliable and helpful, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Her positive attitude and willingness to step in wherever needed makes a real difference to both the team and the people we care for.

Dawn has been recognised for her role as our Dementia Care Coach Lead. In this role, she supports staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred dementia care by sharing best practice, offering guidance, and helping the team better understand the needs and behaviours of residents living with dementia. Dawn leads by example, provides reassurance to colleagues, and plays a key role in improving outcomes and quality of life for our residents.

Thank you both for your hard work, dedication and commitment. You are a real credit to the home and very deserving of this recognition. ❤️

A very special visit from our local school choir, who filled the home with festive songs, laughter and Christmas spirit.

Our residents absolutely loved every moment, singing along, smiling, and enjoying the wonderful energy the children brought with them. Moments like these mean so much and create memories that will be cherished by everyone involved.

Thank you to the choir and staff for taking the time to visit us and make our day so special.

Today we will be uploading lots of photos and videos from what has been an incredibly busy and joyful run-up to Christmas at the home.

We have been so lucky to welcome our local school choir in to sing for our residents, followed by our Christmas party, which took place yesterday and was without doubt one of the biggest turnouts we have ever had.

We would like to say a huge thank you to each and every person who helped make the day so special. Our residents absolutely loved it. We enjoyed fantastic music from Perry Lynn, plenty of dancing from staff, and a wonderful sing-song from the children, which brought so many smiles.

A special thank you to all staff who worked so hard throughout the day, to Maureen and the kitchen team for a beautiful spread, and of course to our residents, who are the reason we do what we do.

Residents and their families are warmly welcome, and that includes all relatives past and present 🎅🤶 We would absolutely love you to join us for an afternoon of festive fun, laughter and celebration 🎶🎁

We’ll be enjoying live music from the talented Perry Lynn 🎤🎹, a Christmas performance from our very own Santa’s little helpers 🎄⭐, with drinks and food provided 🍰🥂

All we ask is that you come along, join in our festive celebrations and help us make some truly special Christmas memories ❤️❄️

We’ve all been getting ready for some festive cheer at Bush House, enjoying walks in the snow, getting creative with Christmas crafts, and decorating the Christmas tree together. It’s been a lovely time full of smiles, laughter and togetherness. Life at Bush House couldn’t be better right now 🎄🎅

We had such a lovely afternoon today as our wonderful resident Dawn brought her organ into the home to play for herself and the other residents. The music filled the home and everyone is really enjoying it. It’s been so special to see Dawn sharing her talent and bringing so much joy through music. Keep an eye out for more posts of Dawn playing, there will definitely be more to come.

Celebrating our incredible team at Bush House Care Home.

This month we’re proud to share two special moments from our Employee of the Month awards.

October’s Employee of the Month is Pyumi. Her dedication, commitment, and consistently high standards shine through in everything she does. Pyumi is someone who quietly goes above and beyond every day, and we are truly grateful for the care and compassion she brings to her role.

November’s Employee of the Month is Grace. Not only does she keep our kitchen running smoothly and to an exceptional standard, but she also gives her spare time to help look after our chickens on the farm alongside our wonderful residents. Her kindness and generosity of spirit make a real difference to daily life here at Bush House.

There’s a saying we love: carers don’t just do their jobs, they share their hearts. Our staff are the heart of Bush House, and recognising those who continually show outstanding commitment is incredibly important to us.

Thank you, Pyumi and Grace, for everything you do. You make Bush House the warm, welcoming home it is.
