So much merriment and joy in these happy tinselly faces! We had a lovely time at our Christmas Party on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun. We've had some lovely feedback, which is always so appreciated 😁

We couldn't have done this one without our volunteers so big up to Hannah K Turner and Stevie Beddoe for volunteering your help and time, and Rhiannon Birch for keeping everyone fuelled with hot chocolate and mince pies, and doing all the washing up. And to those parents who stayed back to help clear up. We appreciate you all so much.

Keep your eyes peeled for dates and booking links for the rest of our Winter sessions on Sundays in January and February. We'll be joined by Natur Hud Community for more bushcraft fun to complement our usual sensory and storytelling - all suitable for children and young people with ALN, disabilities, complex needs, PMLD, life limiting conditions, and mental health issues

CHRISTMAS PARTY UPDATE: FULLY BOOKED

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our joint KeyCreate and Natur Hud Community session. We had lots of sensory fun indoors and out. Looking forward to more after Christmas.

If you'd like to join us for our Christmas Party on Saturday 20th December 2-5pm we only have six spaces left. We'll have lots of sensory festive fun and exploration, arts and crafts, a Christmas music and story workshop with Dave, and some balloon and disco fun from the hilarious and multi-talented Christerical, along with festive refreshments and friendly faces. Booking for our Sensory and Bushcraft Session with Natur Hud on 30th November, and our Christmas Party with Christerical on 20th December is now live.
These sessions are funded by Glamorgan Voluntary Services so there is no charge but spaces are limited and no shows mean that others miss out, so please ensure you intend to come if you book.

It was an absolute honour to attend Cardiff & the Vale Parents' Federation and receive our Award . What a wonderful event they have founded to celebrate the community.

It's been an amazing decade of KeyCreate and we love what we do.

Running a not-for-profit in the current climate, and balancing the needs of our own family can be challenging and exhausting, so to be reminded that we're making a difference, and have such lovely words spoken about us, meant so much and has given us a real boost for many years to come. We are so incredibly grateful for everyone that nominated us and everyone who supports us. You all deserve an award! Huge thanks to Debbie Fish who keeps everything afloat in the background, overseeing finances and policies. And thank you to our families for all your support.

Our junior volunteers Miffy and Wilf were also thrilled to be given an Award for their work at our play sessions and their ongoing kindness and understanding with their brother Roo, who is an inspiration to us all. Sadly Roo wasn't able to attend with us because he's not a fan of sitting still, but he's such an important part of our family. Our lived experience of having a child with disabilities brings so much to everything we do at KeyCreate.

Some spooky snaps of our Sensory Spooktacular. Plenty of tricks and treats, and lots of Mummies, big and small! So much prep, and days of washing slime and gunge, but worth every minute to see our lovely attendees immersed in mess and silliness 😁!

Watch out next week for the booking link for six longer Glamorgan Voluntary Services funded Autumn/ Winter Sensory sessions, the first of which will be on Sunday 23rd November. They will be suitable for children and teens of all ages, and include Bushcraft and Nature activities from Natur Hud. We'll also be having a very exciting Sensory Christmas Party and Disco 2-6pm on Saturday 20th December with Christerical joining in the fun 😊
