We love Cornwall for many reasons. Despite it being the home of my ancestors, one of the reasons is whenever you find yourself either in the car at a junction with a sprawled O.S map on the dashboard, or on foot, a car will pull alongside you and ask 'are you lost, can I help?'

We find this most endearing and once again was asked this a few days ago when I'd brought car to a halt to jump out and photograph this ancient medieval cross on the junction of four roads.

It's called 'Job's Cross' and was restored in 1953. It was originally standing a mile from its current location being used as a gatepost to a field.

The long abandoned tiny stead I fondly call 'The Witches Cottage'. A single window to the front with the most stunning views. I can just imagine smoke swiring from its chimney creating an otherwordly aroma on an autumn morning. I'd love to purchase it as it's also slightly larger than our current tiny home!
