Journaling isn’t a marathon.
It’s brushing your teeth.
Somewhere along the way, we put writing on a pedestal.
It became something you need the “right” notebook for.
The perfect morning routine.
A free hour.
A profound thought.
But most days?
It’s just three messy sentences.
A brain dump before bed.
A scruffy page that no one will ever see.
You don’t need to be poetic.
You don’t need to be consistent.
You don’t need to write pages.
You just need to show up.
I journal the same way I brush my teeth… not because it’s glamorous, but because it keeps things clear.
Clearer thoughts, emotions and direction.
Lower the bar.
Open the notebook.
Write one line.
That’s enough.

What to say about this week? A tale of two halves. Blue skies and grey clouds. Smiles and sorrows. Accomplishments and failures. Just a basic human life I guess 😅. Sunshine and lovely humans warmed my heart this week and reminded me that good remains in the world, always. I’m welcoming March with open arms.

Trying to do less and somehow it becomes more? More intentional. More quality. Less draining. Less spreading myself too thinly. Resting. Allowing breath to deepen and allowing my heart to slow. Sleep is still evading me a little. But my body is slowly giving in. My body is slowly trusting me again. Sorry body. You rock.

Bittersweet.
Melancholy.
Depletion.

Lessons learnt from Bali 🌴
This trip was a pretty big deal for me. I’ve spent some time journaling about it and taking inspiration from the island, the people I met and what I spent my time on. Just popping some of the lessons I take forward with me in my life from here. What lessons have you learnt so far this year? 💭
1. Karma: what goes around comes around. The island functioned on karma. Every person I met was kind hearted and full of joy. Sharing and receiving all of this with whoever they met.
2. Everything will be ok. It might not be ok now, but now is only temporary. Ok is around the corner again.
3. Growth happens outside of comfort zones. Don’t allow yourself to be a pot bound houseplant. Be more lotus 🪷
4. There is more to life than this. So much more to experience, to try, to explore. I’m here for it ✨
5. I’m not old or past it. There is till life in me 💗
6. It’s ok to feel like crap for a bit. Especially when travelling. I can feel better later 😅✈️

🌴 Week 6/52 • 2026 🌴
A few weeks ago I nearly cancelled my spot on this Bali trip. I was fearful. Scared of travelling to the other side of the world by myself. Scared of being in a big group of strangers. Scared of getting ill (hello health anxiety). I pushed through the fear and carried on anyway. The moment I arrived on the island, something shifted in me. My fear melted away. I met a group of incredible people. I said yes to everything without a second thought. I arrived at each day with no expectation and no goal. I allowed my experience to be real and present. Add all of this together and this Bali trip has truly been fantastic. It has reminded me of who I truly am: curious, fun and a freedom-chaser. I am so grateful to each and every person who shared this experience with me and in particular to for creating the best trip ever! Thanks to you friends also, for all your love and support on my stories for the last week or so 😂💕. Bali spam, over and out 🙏🏽

Week 5/52 • 2025 January slipped away quickly for me this year. I was pretty anxious and stressed at the start. Busyness filled my days. Now, I'm finally unwinding in Bali. No plans and no deadlines. Taking time to appreciate the moment and letting go of worries. Allowing each day to arrive and see what happens.

On Feb 21st (12.00–17.30) we’ll walk by the river, practice mindfulness, journal with intention, and warm up with a hot drink. Meeting and finishing at The Condor coffee shop.
This retreat is for you if you’re feeling:
• overstimulated
• a little disconnected
• in need of space, quiet, and grounding
No experience needed. Just bring yourself, comfortable shoes, and a willingness to pause.
